Except that it wasn't humor. It was a gaffe by an airhead, who is now trying to dismiss it as humor, knowing the trained seals will be out in force to defend him and keep the lie going. What a surprise.

I think it was a funny joke. I don't give Trudeau any bad points for it at all. I also like most of the jokes made at his expense in return. I don't like the "Trudeau is an idiot loser twuq" comments, however. There are far too many real policy issues to complain about to be upset about a light-hearted joke.

Humour is all about delivery. His delivery is off. Right when he says it look at the faces in the crowd. If Trudeau was delivering a joke they didn't get it. They cheered in support of his comment. And it still doesn't excuse him for interrupting her. #rude

Not to mention I use humour all of the time to get my point across. Lets assume he was joking, that still doesn't mean he wasn't trying to instill his ideology on the crowd.

Look at this screen shot I took right after he interrupted her. Nobody is laughing.

Pretty strong exchange between JT and the next PM of Canada, Andrew Scheer. I liked the comment at 1:30 - classic!!!

Lots of colouring books for Trudeau. In fact, he'll autograph one for his adorers during question period while his lackeys are bumbling around answering important questions he's supposed to be answering himself!

We will watch and wonder whether his handlers will be able to restrain him when it comes to "answering" questions about Jihadi Jack.

As seen in his town hall meetings, the populace is in a white hot rage concerning the issue of terrorists (and payouts) and I venture to guess that should he mouth the tired "we welcome anyone, everyone, no matter what, into Canada" he may be endangering his physical being.

Of course Kilohotel, you don't see any irony in what you just said?

And you're not "leftist" until you need the social safety net implemented by the original "leftists". Hopefully you'll never need hospitals, doctors, nursing care, homesupport, and all kinds of other programs I hope you never need at the age of 26.

Isn't perfect? I'm waiting five months for a specialist but if I were oding right now I'd be saved. So no argument there right?

But pick and choose as you will, being a Canadian you have socialism in the fabric of Canadian life no matter what. I once told Atomoa that he'd get more conservative as he got older and oh boy, was that ever considered an insult.

But we do. I too am tired of lots of things I have no control over, my second's cousin's wife is having her fourth child in May. Uh ya, we're paying for it. No one can be TOLD to tie the tubes or get the big V, it's still "personal choice" right?

Are Trudeau's gaffes jokes or not? I don't even care, as long as Canada is still standing and not absorbed into the USA at the end of all this.

KiloHotel wrote: Socialism is

So basically communism lite, and there are countless examples of how communism ends up working out for the people.

Collective governance and ownership cannot work, for there is no longer incentive to the individual.

Well, since our means of production, distribution, and exchange are rarely owned or regulated by the community as a whole (BC Hydro being an exception), I will leave the throwing of the term around to the less-educated. Ironically though, it is those socialist ideas of universal health care and subsidized education that allow our capitalist economy to thrive.
