NDP Push for Netflix Tax
NDP calls for Canadians to pay tax on Netflix, NDP wants Canada to follow the lead of Singapore and force Canadians to pay a tax for Netflix. Currently, Canadians pay GST on digital content from Canadian-based companies – such as Bell's CraveTV streaming service. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says that isn’t fair.
Of course it would never occur to the socialists to call for the removal of the taxes on Canadian-based services. That would be too reasonable and popular.
