Family Feud Lottery Style

Post by oneh2obabe »

If she didn't intend to share she shouldn't have put his name on the ticket. Good luck in court.
After pair win jackpot in Margaree Forks, N.S., contest, aunt says she never intended to share winnings.

The owners of the winning $1.2-million Chase the Ace ticket posed for the camera Thursday morning in Margaree Forks, N.S.

But as soon as the photo op was done, the mood turned sour.

"See you in court," Barbara Reddick of Guysborough, N.S., said, pointing at her nephew, Tyrone MacInnis.

"Chase the Ace winners, it's going to court. I'm taking him to court. It was my ticket. I bought the ticket and now he's trying to lie and say I said split. I said split with the 50/50, not with no Chase the Ace," Reddick told a group of people gathered for the ceremony.

The nephew was actually the one who bought the tickets, she sent him money to do so. She also admits she told him to put his name on them as well, “for good luck” as the story seems to be.

Lady, you wouldn’t have a jackpot to bisch about if that “dead to you” nephew didn’t do all your leg work. Shut up and be grateful for your $600k+

She's SOL and I Hope her Lawyer tells her that or she is going to spend a bunch of money for nothing.

I knew a Woman many years ago who's fiance bought her a provincial ticket that won. She immediately told him to get lost. He sued her for half and won.

The Karma was that she was broke by the time the court case was finished. (His half was being held for him)
I got Married because I was sick and tired of finishing my own sentences.
That's worked out great for me!

I’d love to see this somehow turn entirely in favour of the nephew.

Maybe the judge will interpret the money she sent him for the tickets as a “gift” to him, and since he bought the tickets, the potential winnings end up being his and his alone. Especially since Salty Auntie Barb’s name was on there. You know, for “good luck” and all.

Ahhhh, a girl can dream. But I sure hope this guy gets his half (and Barb blows hers on the lawyers!).
