That's if you let it both you. The face of America is changing fast. We must accept them legal or illegal. If America didn't want them, they could stop it very easily. But the don't. They know these migrants fuel the economy. The government isn't that stupid.

This woman has traveled the world and has consulted even the White House.

She understands the need for diversity and multiculturalism....

Abby Wilson.....

Certainly, living elsewhere has informed Wilson’s perspective on her hometown. “My two main gripes are: too many white people and not enough public transportation. The homogeneity and provincialism that accompany working here frustrates me at times, and the amount of time I spend in the car is absurd. I’ve been deeply spoiled by the New York subway and Paris Metro. These problems take time to untangle. I’m excited that we’re managing growth and not decline.”

averagejoe wrote:but we all global citizens and who says who can live where?

No one - the only thing people are saying is for them to go through the proper channels. Just because someone is a "global citizen" doesn't give them a right to enter a country illegally and become a tax burden to the citizens of said country.
averagejoe wrote:These are people who are struggling to get to a country and enrich there country of choice.

Enrich their country? Take Westbankkids's advice and spend sometime in the UK or France, or Germany, or Scandanavia and tell us more about "enriching" their country of choice.
averagejoe wrote:You like to be rich? Right? Think about it and how your life forever is changing.

Hard to get rich when the taxman comes knocking on my door every year taking more money to pay for these "global citizens".
averagejoe wrote:These people will be your neighbors one day.

As long as they've gone through proper channels, that's great. If they're illegal they need to go back home.
averagejoe wrote:Your children will learn new languages, play soccer or baseball or hockey together with them, you can have cultural exchanges in your local children school days. The possibilities so great for change.

Which has nothing to do with refugees illegally entering a country - risking their lives and the lives of legal citizens by playing chicken on highways and railways.
averagejoe wrote:Don't be scared to embrace diversity.

Again, embracing diversity has nothing to do with illegal refugees.
averagejoe wrote:So a few illegals get in. Think of the benefits!!!

A few illegals? LMAO - now you've gone from thousands and hundreds of thousands every year to a few LOL!

Diversity and multiculturalism has nothing to do with illegally landed immigrants. There is more than enough diversity and multiculturalism to go around through people of all walks of life and race that have entered countries legally.

How exactly do they "fuel" the economy when they come in with no money in their pockets, take away jobs from tax paying citizens by working under the table, themselves paying no taxes and providing the employer a way to avoid paying taxes?

They bring nothing to the economy other than a cost to the taxpayer.

AJ You have some very legitimate points for LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. None of them apply to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Illegal immigrants are a drain on the country they sneak into. They should be given immigration application papers to fill out and be sent home. When and if the right time comes they can be contacted and invited to enter the country.
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have of changing others.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes their way.

You are coming across as a nut case I'm sorry to say. Enter the country legally or stay home.

That's my opinion along with millions and millions of others.

With the majority of those millions and millions of others feeling the direct effect of illegal immigration and "diversity" - unlike those who just read stories online and look at pictures and expect them to suck it up.

There are a lot of countries I'd like to live in and hopefully will retire in - but legally which isn't always easy.

Fortunately, with my citizenship(s) status, I can legally work and live in 29 countries plus all their territories, dominions and collectives ;)

By turning back these migrants, we could be losing out on future football players, musicians, super models, tv news hosts, City Mayor's etc....

Take this celebration of diversity! How exciting. Bet you can't tell who's illegal and who isn't?

The world's first non-white modelling agency – a true celebration of diversity

Launched in London a year ago, Lorde boasts a catalogue of models of colour who challenge the fashion industry’s bias towards Caucasian looks.

Looking at the models on Lorde Inc’s website, the first thing that strikes you is that these people are, to put it in Zoolander’s words, really, really good looking. Ornello has long plaits and a gap between her teeth. Mohammed is all chocolate eyes and wavy locks. And Urjii is cheekbones and expressive stare. The second thing? None of the models – about 60 in all – are white.

Lorde was set up in May 2014 as the first of its kind – an agency made up entirely of models of colour. It is the brainchild of Nafisa Kaptownwala, a 26-year-old Canadian art history graduate, who began to work on the fringes of fashion and noticed the lack of non-white models. Despite no experience in the modelling industry, she set up Lorde in London with a friend and “the next thing, people were contacting us”. A year on, and Lorde has worked with magazines including Dazed & Confused and i-D, and collaborated with London streetwear brand Cassette Playa.

Despite these relative triumphs, Kaptownwala is pessimistic about diversity in modelling in 2015. “There’s still not a massive demand because this is still a radical idea and people in fashion are not really ready for it,” she says. “How does that make me feel? In general I think, as a person of colour, you internalise. Creating this agency is a way to channel those feelings.”

How many of those are illegal immigrants vs. legal immigrants?

As said before, illegal refugees has nothing to do with diversity.

But since you're so passionate about refugees. Why don't you sign up for this?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/refugees/sponsor/index.asp

Step up to the plate before you expect others to do it for you.

Makes more sense for those who support the entry of refugees and illegal immigrants to pick up the tab themselves before they stick the bill up everyone else's a$$.
