You're obviously new to the forums, so welcome!
As for xenophobes and Islamophobia, the former exists, but there's no such thing as Islamophobia. Sadly, bigotry against Muslims exists, but Islam is a set of ideas, a doctrine if you will, so there's nothing wrong with being fearful or against Islam, or Communism, or Capitalism, or Judaism, or Christianity, or Marxism, or Fascism, or Nationalism, or National Socialism/Nazism.
Sometimes things appear bigoted at first glance, but one you're here for a while, you will likely discover that there can be discussion back and forth, and -- shockingly -- consensus reached.
Happy posting.

Drip Torch, are you feeling okay?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Hmm, I guess?
Don't you get the feeling we're all going to wake up one day soon and agree on something - or is it just me?

Ummmm, given how the BC Election Threads are going, and the Donald Trump Admin threads are going, oh and the BC Housing Thread and the OD solution thread....did I miss a big one? I'm thinking that perhaps you're on the wee bit too optimistic side that suddenly we're all going to wake up any day soon and agree on something.
Okay, ice cream. Maybe we can all agree on ice cream?

Five dead. Work place shooting.
I often wonder if these types of shootings are motived because someone got fired or bullied.
Up-date from when I posted the above ^^
I speculated that he was fired or bullied. Turns out he was fired in April.
Rest in Peace to his victims.

It's our fault that he did that. If only we would have passed laws making it illegal to fire anyone for any reason, all those innocent people would still be alive.

It appears there been few gun events south of the border, nothing says healthy society better then a bunch of shootings.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Re: Another shooting rocks the world
But is it right to blame Sanders and leftist ideology more broadly for Wednesday’s shooting?
Of course not.
Rhetoric is not directly responsible for violence unless it advocates violence. Radical jihadism advocates violence; the bulk of its supporters know this and support violence; a solid contingent of its followers participate in violence. The same is not true for American-brand political leftism, as vile as it is. For the right to equate verbiage with violence – no matter how inflammatory the verbiage – is to fall prey to the same snowflake syndrome the right condemns on college campuses.

Three dead and the gunman turns the gun on himself when confronted by the police.
UPS suffered a horrible incident where actual people died and they are completely overshadowed by events in Virginia. So I'm bringing to to light.
Rest in Peace, your only crime was to get up and go to work that day.

Paddock owned two aircraft and held a pilot's license, according to the "Today" show. Paddock lived in the suburbs around Mesquite, Nevada, which sits near the border with Arizona about an hour and a half from where the shooting took place, the police said.
"We have no idea what his belief system was," Lombardo told reporters.
The Daily Mail quoted Paddock's brother Eric as saying he and his mother were "in shock" and "dumbfounded" after finding out about the shooting. According to the Daily Mail, Eric Paddock described his brother as a normal guy who must have "snapped."
The police are not investigating the attack as an act of terrorism at this time.
