Shouldn't worry. Donald Trump is "monitoring the situation from Japan"

Yes, this is all Donald Trump's fault. There were never any shootings in the history of the USA until he was elected.

[icon_lol2.gif] I never blamed the Don for this shooting. Sorry my comment on his comment offended you.

Unbelievable. 26 dead. A madman who is local this time, not foreign. And the stories are heartbreaking. Warning: need kleenex.

it wasn't really offensive, just more stupid than anything. Murders in the US are actually going down, but I know that doesn't suit the narrative, so instead it has to be spun as some sort of "hate" thing which is just goofy.

Not Trump’s fault, not Obama’s fault, not Bush’s fault, not Clinton’s (Bill or Hillary) fault.
It’s the way of life in the United States. They will not give an inch on their right to bear arms, so they have to take the bad with the good. It’s a sad, sorry way of life in my opinion, but it’s the path they have chosen for themselves.

That is the best description of what is going on in the USA I've read for a long time. Not quite accurate as there are many people who want tougher gun laws, but the NRA has so much lobbying power in Washington, DC it barely allows for any debate on what path to chose going forward.

GB, it's articles like this https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/ar ... ke/541023/ that are fueling the belief that all across American gun violence is up, but only in specific urban areas, drawing the national stats up overall.

Another day in the life of America. So sad really. Wait til the civil war comes, with the people better armed than the police. I fear for the few American friends that I have. Proud to be Canadian at times like this, GG aside.

According to BBC,so far this year there have been 302 mass shootings in the US and today is day 309. This stat has nothing to do with all the other shootings occurring in that country. Don't try to make thing look brighter on behalf of the US. They are really screwed up down there.

An intelligent guess would be: was it Antifa or Islam? I'm going with antifa since ISIS isn't mentioned in the news article.

I suppose it could be white nationalists, but they say it's a small town so probably a white or mixed race church.

ABC News reported that the shooter was identified as Kelley, a 26-year-old white male from the city of New Braunfels in Comal County, Texas, less than an hour’s drive from Sutherland Springs, where the shooting occurred. The news outlet cited unnamed federal and state law enforcement sources.
