The US Senate has just passed bill that ends bill of rights!
This is scarey stuff. I did not want to post just one web page on it in fear it would get sent off to conspiracy theory thread.

Re: The US Senate has just passed bill that ends bill of rig
The thread topic is not true. The US Senate did not pass a bill that ends the bill of rights. Those words came from conspiracy theorists on other websites. That is their interpretation of what the passing of the bill means.
If one reads the looney rants of the CTs and then looks at more reasoned reporting, one can easily see that CTs (as usual) have blown things way out of proportion.
There are concerns with the bill, however while CTs are out on the web tonight crying that everyday Americans will have their rights stripped by the military, the truth is that the bill speaks to "suspected al Qaeda terrorists", which is something totally different.
The concerns revolve around being held indefinitely and whether the military or civilian authorities should deal with such terrorists.
Chock another one up for the fear mongers. They're are at it again. (Or is that still?)

Pretty good write-up on it. I really don't find it surprising at all - typical to how the USA does things.
It's really about their war machine/money. But that's been a constant for them since WW2.

There are several very revealing aspects to all of this. First, the 9/11 attack happened more than a decade ago; Osama bin Laden is dead; the U.S. Government claims it has killed virtually all of Al Qaeda’s leadership and the group is “operationally ineffective” in the Afghan-Pakistan region; and many commentators insisted that these developments would mean that the War on Terror would finally begin to recede. And yet here we have the Congress, on a fully bipartisan basis, acting not only to re-affirm the war but to expand it even further: by formally declaring that the entire world (including the U.S.) is a battlefield and the war will essentially go on forever.
It's really about their war machine/money. But that's been a constant for them since WW2.

Interesting tangent - in London, it looks like they're using a similar law to their advantage: Label OWS a terror group, then do as you want. haha
Police in City see occupiers as 'terror' risk

Police in City see occupiers as 'terror' risk
The City of London Police force was facing criticism last night after including the Occupy London demonstration in a letter warning businesses about potential terrorist threats.
The letter, a "Terrorism/Extremism Update", lists al-Qa'ida, the Colombian dissidents Farc, and Belarusian terrorists who bombed the Minsk underground. It also lists Occupy London under the heading "Domestic".

Re: The US Senate has just passed bill that ends bill of rig
Like a nightmare, it just gets worse...
Obama strips language shielding Americans from bill
http://www.brasschecktv.com/videos/obam ... -bill.html

A deliberate deception
As soon as December 13, the President will sign NDAA Section 1031 into law, permitting citizen imprisonment without evidence or trial. The bill that passed Congress absolutely DOES NOT exempt citizens. The text of Section 1031 reads, "A covered person under this section" includes "any person who has committed a belligerent act". We only have to be ACCUSED, because we don't get a trial.
- Confusingly, Obama threatened a veto for 1032, but NOT 1031. 1032 is UNRELATED to imprisoning citizens without a trial. He has never suggested using a veto to stop Section 1031 citizen imprisonment -- in fact, it was requested by the Obama administration. Watch the video for proof.
- The Feinstein Amendment 1031(e) is dangerously misleading. Don't be fooled: In the text of 1031(e), "Nothing in this section shall be construed...", the only word that matters is "construed" because the Supreme Court are the only ones with the power to construe the law. The Feinstein Amendment 1031(e) permits citizens to be imprisoned without evidence or a trial forever, if the Supreme Court does not EXPLICITLY repeal 1031.
- Any time you hear the words, "requirement for military custody" this refers to 1032 NOT 1031. We MUST not confuse these two sections. In its statements, the Obama administration has actually contributed to the confusion about 1032's "requirement for military custody", which is COMPLETEY UNRELATED to Section 1031 citizen imprisonment without trial. These tricky, misleading words appear even in major news stories. Don't fall for it!
If we act urgently to tell our friends, family, and colleagues, we may still be able to prevent this. Here is what we can do:
1) Americans must know about this to stop it. Urgently pass this petition as widely as possible: http://www.change.org/petitions/stop-nd ... onment-l...
2) Spread this C-SPAN video evidence. People deserve to watch this before he signs it.
3) Write and call your Representative and Senator telling them to stop NDAA Section 1031 and the dangerously misleading Feinstein Amendment 1031(e).
Contact your Representative: http://writerep.house.gov/writerep/
Contact your Senator: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_i ... rs_cfm.cfm
4) Write and call the White House to tell the President you won't sit by and watch NDAA Section 1031 and the dangerously misleading Feinstein Amendment 1031(e) become law: http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/submi ... d-comments

No I'm Canadian, but what was the light of freedom in this world the Constitution of the United States, the standard by which all nations are measured has been used to wipe the Azz of the treasonous cabal who have overthrown the republic.
Do not for one minute think that our nation is not following in their footsteps.
