Syria must privatize oil

Postby masen » May 29th, 2012, 7:49 pm

Unless Syria privatizes its oil its going to be bombed into smithereenes just like all the other countries which have resisted the American military. [It controls everything probably including the UN and the US and all the Western countries] It is a sad state of affairs which will continue until we decide to stand up, it's our fault this is happening.

When Gadaffi said that all countries especially in the West should privatize their oil, that was his downfall, Libya was decimated. Syrian oil is 87% nationalized, so like starting with Yugoslavia a good number of years ago, no country is allowed to own its own oil and minerals unless they want to take on the US military. The murder of so many good people in this world has to stop! The US drones are only 100 miles away and we think we are safe.

That will mean nothing once this happens:

NATO preparing vast disinformation campaign
by Thierry Meyssan
Member States of NATO and the GCC are preparing a coup d’état and a sectarian genocide in Syria. If you want to prevent these crimes, you should act now: circulate this article on the Internet and alert your elected officials....

Can you supply any actual proof of this event or is this just more made up drivel?

It's drivel, contrived conspiratorial mumbo jumbo.

The United States has screwed up repeatedly on the world stage, causing many, many problems, but some people want to extend that and blame the U.S. for everything.

There really are bad people out there that aren't Americans, folks.
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

Well, perhaps if they managed to actually do the time for the crimes they committed, our opinions of them would change. But seeing as they never got what they deserved, I have no reason not to believe them to be capable of anything and everything.

I think this is the guy that thought ordering wine online was bad??

The US has no interest in Syria, ever wonder why they aren't in there like the other Arab Spring countries?? Syria is backed by Russia. The US wants no part in a ground offensive with a country that is backed by a country like Russia.. backed by Iran backed by North Korea.

The US has no interest in Syria? :127:

It's all about controlling the world's resources...primarily the most outdated/unneeded resource called OIL.

Any way you slice it, oil is needed, without it you wouldn't even be able to post that message... so continue to say its outdated... as you drive or bike to work, ride an elevator with plastic buttons or walk up the stairs over that plastic door mat, sit down in your desk chair made of plastic or your metal chair with plastic arm rests. and pick up the plastic telephone to make a business call to order products with plastic wrapping in a truck with rubber tires and plastic components.

Back to your claim, showing a video from 2007 doesn't prove anything. IMO they will never invade Syria, but that may change. Perhaps if Syria attacks Israel. There are too many world implications. Plus in 2007 the US wasn't as far in debt, with a better credit rating, a larger military, and Bush was in power... Things have changed in 5 years. I don't disagree with you that they would love to control all the worlds resources though.
