You said they are police - I thought they were different.

I'm not sure which cop you're referring to here.
Care to clarify?

The discussion was revolving around Dorner - the ex-cop.

I have no idea what they planned to do, just as you also don't. You can speculate (which I'm sure you will) but I won't as it adds nothing to the conversation but more speculation.

That's incredible. Let's say you saw someone who WASN'T a cop yelling "Let's burn the motherf***er and throwing molotov cocktails into a house. Would you even call the cops or would you still have no idea what the person's intentions were?
They say you can't believe everything they say.

That wasn't what happened - it was a police matter and there already was tear gas thrown in with no results.

Okay then, you see someone throwing rocks through someone's window while yelling for them to come out and they're not getting the desired results, so they say "let's burn the motherf***er and then proceed to hurl molotov cocktails into the house, are you going to call the cops or would you still have no idea what their intentions were?

Why is Dorner only referred to as "ex cop" and not "ex military"?

I knew neither you or Fancy would answer a simple relevant question which is why I wrote:

The way you and goatboy back up the cops no matter what they do reminds of devout Catholics who deny any wrongdoings of the priests even when it's obvious they're guilty, thinking that denial will help the church, when in fact admitting there's a problem and dealing with it ends up helping much more in the long run. You can hear the cop in the video saying "let's burn that motherf***er yet you will forever deny that this could have been their intention. There are good cops who don't like their reputation dragged through the mud by bad cops, but if no one wants to address that this problem exists, it will inevitably get worse. You should judge more by the actions than the uniform.

OK, I'll try again. This is completely not relevant to what actually happened, and as such is a question that is pointless in answering. You can go on all day with your hypothetical analogies, but I won't bother with the "what ifs". Now, if you want to ask me a question like, "do you think there may have been a better way of ending this stand off", then I may answer it with a "yes, I think there may have been a better way of ending this stand off, however, I have the luxury of hindsight".
