Re: Why America can't touch N Korea
Set your expectations way down low (then, a little lower), and you won't be disappointed.
"The Interview" is the worst "comedy" I have seen in years. It is just gross-out crap aimed at the intelligence levels of teenage boys
I still half-believe this is the greatest publicity stunt in the history of American cinema, doing for a mediocre production what Khomeini's fatwa did for Salman Rushdie's mediocre novel.
Going to be hard to try again anytime soon, though.

It's against the law to threaten someone.
It's also against the law to make a movie or film, showing a way to murder someone.
All DVDs showcase an FBI warning label before they begin, stating that those who copy and sell -- or pirate -- a DVD will be faced with a maximum fine of $250,000 and a maximum prison sentence of five years.
What's worse? Killing someone, or cheating Sony out of $20.00 by making a copy of a dvd?

They should send them some dvd players too.
And some TVs.
And some batteries.
And some rice. For snacks. For before they watch the movie.

Where do you come up with this stuff?
Once again I'll present to you exhibit A; a 2006 British docudrama in which George Bush is assasinated by a sniper. The US didn't do anything in retaliation or take them to court which I'm sure they would have if it was illegal.
Then exhibit B; the Black Ops2 video game in which Noriega is involved in a world wide cyber attack, beaten, taken prisoner and shoots your knee caps off and is eventually killed I hope, haven't beat the game yet. Noriega took the makers of the game to court but lost because the use of his image was not deemed illegal.
And if you believe this was simply an attack against Sony then youre missing the big picture. This was an attack against freedom of speech by some third party who attempted to sensor content. A slippery slope that has serious implications that would apply to more than just Sony movies.

^ how would you know? Did you ask them?
It could have been an economic attack. or it could even have been them attacking themselves.
That's been done before a few times.

Didn't have to ask, they released a statement.
"Very wise to cancel 'the interview' it will be very useful for you," read the message. "We ensure the purity of your data and as long as you make no more trouble."

Re: Why America can't touch N Korea
Hackers sent a new email Friday to Sony Pictures Entertainment, gloating over the studio's "wise" decision to cancel the release of "The Interview" and warning not to distribute the film "in any form."
The email was confirmed by a person close to the studio who requested anonymity because the person wasn't authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

Pointdexter's source is laughable, yet your source mentioned at viewtopic.php?f=28&t=60054&start=15#p1776472 is legit?
At least Pointdexter's is from a known/reputable newspaper ... yours is something anyone with web hosting knowledge could slap together.
Seriously mate ...

According to CNN North Korea just blew a missile over Japan.
I'm thinking someone will touch North Korea.
