What is troublesome is that despite the billions pouring into Africa from UN and other organizations for education, training and economic development the tide of illegal migrants to Europe continues and is getting worse, not better.

Maybe it's time for these organizations to start following the money trail and see where in fact all this aid is ending up. Short of that finding ways and putting resources to prevention of illegal migrants from landing on European soil and being returned to their origin. While it is sad to think of desperation forcing people to take such risks, these kinds of mass migrations are neither helping the country they land on, nor assuring them of the better life they seek.

As the real world effects of the changing local and regional weather patters across the world change due to world warming we can expect to see more and more mass migration taking place across the world. Rain and water shortages. food shortages, over population and the wars associated to each country trying to "survive" in times of world scarcity will be the multiple driving forces. I do not see mankind having what it takes to do anything about the situation before it goes completely out of control sometime around 2050 or 2060.

Sounds like it's time to provide the police with heavier weapons capable of stopping a vehicle and it's terrorist driver in it's tracks.

Saying yes, yes, yes and then having to say no almost always results in a violent backlash. IMO saying no to begin with is much more accepted. The violence all over Europe could have been avoided if the European countries had dealt with the cause of the refugees in their home countries.

stick meet spokes

Why are we trying to control migration on the land?
People have been migrating since the dawn of man.
Now, because we have formed countries, governments and therefore borders we expect to control what animals have been doing all along.
We really need to find better ways of living on this planet than this.
It's never going to work.
It hasn't worked since pasty people started drawing lines in the sand.
Who the hell do ya think ya are to claim ownership of the earth anyhow?

This crisis and the masses of ones to follow are never going to end and will never be controlled.
Necessity is the mother of invention as well as migration.
Politics is the reason they have to move.
Take away the religion and politics and live.

Merkel isn't the first leader to find out that her PERSONAL opinion as to what should or should not be done is of no consequence to the people she is attempting to lead. The will of the majority of the people comes before all else in a democracy.

About three years until we find out if PM Trudeau is following the will of the majority of the people in Canada, including his immigration (read Refugee policy).

imo we will have the same problems as Germany, just on a smaller scale because we are letting way less in , but you can bet the news will do there best to keep the bad news of refugees off the news the best they can
