A Christian woman in Uganda was feeding herself and her baby during Ramadan, and her Muslim mother-in-law poisoned her baby to death in order to punish her. As we read in one report:

A female infant in Luuka District in Uganda was poisoned to death by her Muslim in-laws after her Christian mother ate during the daytime fasting period of Ramadan, according to local sources.

In an interview with Morning Star News, 24-year-old Angel Nabirye said her mother-in-law Nubu Kiiza asked her on June 16 why she was eating food during Ramadan. The Christian mother explained that her baby was sick and needed to be breastfed. Although non-Muslims and sick young children are not required to fast during the holy month, Kiiza told Nabirye’s husband Ayubu Meddie Kamwa that his wife failed to observe Ramadan.

The next morning, Kiiza visited Nabirye and brought herbs for the sick baby. Unfortunately, the infant died three hours after the Christian mother gave the herbs to her child.

“She brought some herbs for my baby, Saidha Namwase, which I gave her,” Nabirye told Morning Star. “After three hours, the condition of the baby worsened, and I rushed her to Iganga Hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival at 4 p.m.”

After some tests, a doctor reportedly concluded that Nabirye’s baby died of poisoning.

Looks like an Al Qaeda attack in Yemen today.

Eight Yemeni troops and six militants were killed on Wednesday in an assault claimed by Al Qaeda on a military base near the international airport of Yemen's southern city of Aden, the military said.

Two suicide bombers blew up their cars, then militants stormed the Solaban base and fought with troops backed by Apache helicopters for several hours, a special forces statement said.

Non-religious strong men have to be installed in every one of these de-stabilized countries, like Kaddafyi, Saddam, Assad and Mubarak. That's all that works in the Middle East. They need to fear someone more than they fear each other.

Dozens of people were killed in the French Riviera city of Nice late on Thursday when a truck plowed into crowds watching a fireworks display on France's Bastille Day national holiday, the mayor said on Twitter.​

French TV channel BFM TV said at least 30 people were killed as a crowd was celebrating.

The truck rammed into the crowd on the Promenade des Anglais seaside walk in the centre of town, regional newspaper Nice Matin reported, citing its own reporter at the scene.

I've been following this on BBC, there hasn't been any mention about any explosions in Paris. Perhaps the smoke in the above photo is from fireworks?
