Cops recommended to be fired

Post by maryjane48 »

The city's Office of the Inspector General recommended the termination of eight officers, but Chicago police disagreed with one of those, the police department said.

Another two officers who had been under investigation have retired.

Dashcam video of the fatal 2014 shooting contradicted nearly everything police said happened the night McDonald died. It showed McDonald walking away from police as he held a knife, not lunging toward officers as police had said.

No wonder most cops are against cams . Heaven forbid it tells the truth. According to dsshcam video ,what the cops said happened was fantasy

Your comment that most cops are against dash cams is completely false. Almost all Canadian cops are not only for dash cams but very much in favor of wearing personal cameras as well. Just as they have always been for using audio equipment to confirm the evidence that they give in court.

WADR you have to try to stop making "facts" up that fit your dislike of the police rather than the truth. What is stopping most police forces from going in that direction is the attached multi million dollar cost of equipping and maintaining such systems in a way that meets all rules of evidence AND the fact that very few videos truly depict the constant speed at which an action takes place.

A push with a foot can turn into a kick and pushing someone to the ground can look like a person being roughly thrown to the ground. And vice versae. That information comes from one of the top video experts in North America who gave sworn testimony in Criminal Court in Vancouver recently. His evidence concerned using a video camera to determine the simple speed of a vehicle from a video tape.
