ISIS suspected of mustard attack against US and Iraqi troops

ISIS is suspected of firing a shell with mustard agent that landed at the Qayarrah air base in Iraq Tuesday where US and Iraqi troops are operating, according to several US officials.

The shell was categorized by officials as either a rocket or artillery shell. After it landed on the base, just south of Mosul, US troops tested it and received an initial reading for a chemical agent they believe is mustard.
No US troops were hurt or have displayed symptoms of exposure to mustard agent.

In other news, US and Iraqi troops were able to enjoy their yearly hot dog feast and then retaliate against Isis with laser guided ketchup missiles.

uh hum, back on topic, i wonder if it was some of Saddam's old stuff that he used on the Kurds? i have no idea what the shelf life is on mustard gas but it sounds like it was past it's "Use By..." date.

Iraq had 14, 155mm shells filled with Mustard gas in 2003. Those were categorized by the US military and destroyed. Saddam did not have "hidden" weapons of mass destruction because the US sold Saddam all the WMD's.

The mustard gas was most likely captured from Syria.

ISIS is mostly armed with US made weapons. Given the US is the biggest arms supplier its no surprise.
