Some States are banning sanctuary cities...but of course all you hear are cities that are opposing President-elect Trump eliminating sanctuary cities...

Got to keep things balanced since the MSM won't cover this issue.



Texas Governor to Ban Sanctuary Cities

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott took to Twitter Sunday night to announce his plan to ban sanctuary cities in the Lone Star State. He also revealed his administration has issued an executive order cutting off funding to such cities.

NC Senate votes to ban immigrant ‘sanctuary cities’

RALEIGH
The state Senate voted 32-11 to ban counties and municipalities from having “sanctuary city” policies that limit enforcement of immigration laws.

Supporters of the measure say local governments shouldn’t get to opt out of federal laws. They pointed to several “sanctuary cities” in North Carolina, including Charlotte, Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Durham.

Local governments would be banned from preventing their law enforcement officers from asking about a suspect’s immigration status. They also couldn’t stop law enforcement from sharing immigration information with federal authorities.

A final vote is set for Monday night; the House still must also vote on the bill.

ICE chief lists worst sanctuary cities: Chicago, NYC, San Francisco, Philadelphia

In a broadside on sanctuary cities that harbor criminal illegal immigrants, the acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement called them "un-American" and cited the worst: Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

"Sanctuary cities, in my opinion, are un-American," said Thomas D. Homan in an interview with Secrets.

By harboring criminal illegal immigrants, the jurisdictions are boosting crime, he said.

"In the last year, I've read all these stories of how the crime rate has exploded in Chicago, and the president's trying to help them. We're stepping up our game in Chicago. Is Chicago doing everything that it can to decrease the criminal activity up there? I say no," Homan said.
