Trump has always been a liar, a fraud and a self promoter, nothing about him has changed there.

He has always exuded the demeanor of a timeshare salesman; sleazy and untrustworthy. It was his carefully constructed brand and was good for ratings.

The difference now is that he's no longer in on the joke. What we're seeing in reality TV format, is a man unravel and loose the ability to recognize reality from fiction or conspiracy.

Those of you who support him will have to accept the responsibility of his actions, but unfortunately, those of us who saw him for what he is will still have to live with the consequences.

I've got family in the UK, like quite a few, some in London, most not. Not a single one of them has ever expressed a single moment of worry about terrorist attacks. They dealt with the IRA for like 30 years, they have memories of the Blitz, they just don't worry about this stuff like some lesser peoples do. Yes, they take sensible precautions, but they aren't lilly livered pansies and they sure as hell aren't the going to let a few terrorists get them down.

Also, it is telling that all of your former GF's family are UKIP. Last election they didn't get a single seat, and received a massive 1.8% of the vote. Without Brexit, they are about the most irrelevant party in the UK. Might it be that they are a very poor representation of the UK public? It is telling that there is a very strong correlation between education level and not voting UKIP: https://yougov.co.uk/news/2017/04/25/demographics-dividing-britain/
Basically, if you have a highschool education or above, you are far less likely to vote UKIP as those without. Also, if you are young, you are far less likely to vote UKIP. If you are female, you are significantly less likely to vote UKIP. For your girlfriend to be UKIP and her family too, I can only assume that you were dating Farage's wife

It seems. Flynn may have been wearing a wire for fbi in eome his meetings with trump :130: dont you just love spy intrigue ? [icon_lol2.gif]

mer national security adviser Mike Flynn is expected to plead guilty to lying to F.B.I. investigations on Thursday, becoming the fourth individual involved in the Trump campaign to face charges in the ongoing Justice Department investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, and the second who appears to have cut a deal with special prosecutor Robert Mueller.

The single charge against Flynn, according to a court filing made public Friday, is that he “did willfully and knowingly make materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statements” during a January 24 interview in which he discussed his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Prosecutors charge that the retired three-star general falsely stated that he did not ask Kislyak to “refrain from escalating the situation” in response the sanctions leveled against Moscow by Barack Obama, or request the ambassador to “delay the vote on or defeat” a pending United Nations resolution over two phone calls in late January. (Flynn came under intense scrutiny for his communications with Kislyak earlier this year, ultimately resigning because of them.)

Kushner's problem is that he can read and write, doesn't sign his name with a sharpie and doesn't communicate in incoherent word salad. That means that with Kushner, there is likely an evidence trail that can be fairly readily used.

Wee Donnie, on the other hand, doesn't read, can barely string 140 characters into anything really coherent, just barely graduated from a crayon to a sharpie to sign his name, and speaks in an often contradictory (within the same paragraph - if you can call it that) word salad that actually says as much upside down as it does right side up. Hard to put a case together when much of the evidence trail is just gibberish.
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.

Former ethics director: Trump's tweet on Flynn could end presidency

A former government ethics official said Saturday that President Trump's tweet about the firing of former national security adviser Michael Flynn could end his presidency.

"Are you ADMITTING you knew Flynn had lied to the FBI when you asked Comey to back off Flynn?" Walter Shaub, the former director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, tweeted at Trump.

"Before we slipped into an alternate universe of unabashed corruption, this tweet alone might have ended a Presidential administration," he added.

“I am not a criminal”

With latest plea deal, Mueller's investigation closing in on Trump

We can only hope this sad and embarrassing joke is just about over for our American neighbors to the south. Sadly, their credibility on the world stage is in shambles, and whether a Republican (the voters may show up to punish these clowns for what they allowed to happen) or a Democrat (they better step up too), there is already one hell of a mess to clean up.

There is thought out there: now that the "establishment" Republicans have their tax cut for their donors, they won't need wee Donnie and his nonsense after he puts his crayon (er, sharpie) mark on their so called bill. Especially as I think, unless they changed it, that they have "back door" killed Obamacare in the process.

So if Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan no longer need wee Donnie's chicken scratch - why would they put up with his constant bs? Especially as wee Donnie is constantly threatening their re-election prospects?
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.
