Trump's refrigerator upgrade for Air Force One set to cost $24m

What hums, flies above 30,000ft, and costs about as much as Donald Trump’s upstate New York manor?

Trump’s new airplane refrigerators.

<snip>

The $24m price tag, upon which Boeing declined to comment, amounts to enough taxpayer money to fund an estimated eight weekends for the president at Mar-a-Lago, which Trump visited 11 times in his first year as president.
Or the cash could be used to provide security at Trump Tower in New York City, where the president no longer lives, for about two months.

As president-elect, Trump trashed Boeing’s stock by attacking on Twitter the high-priced Air Force One program.
“Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion,” Trump tweeted. “Cancel order!”

Whew, that was close eh Donny? Had you cancelled that order you might not be getting your brand-new beer fridges. What about the big screen TV or is that already taken care of ? We know this critical expenditure couldn’t have come out of your golf trips to Florida budget. We know you're a man who has his priorities straight. Making America great again.

The systems are two of five such “chillers” aboard Air Force One, which must be equipped with a refrigeration capacity to handle 3,000 meals, according to military specifications.

Those are some "refrigerators". And misleading to say new when the word should be replace. The connotation of "new" is something that did not exist before. Replaced is akin to fix or repair. I guess it's all in how you slant the facts. And the fact is that they are being replaced, it's in the link.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Watched the state of the Union. Good job Trump! I loved the hang dog looks on the Dems like Nanci Peloser. Grandpa Bernie Stalin just looked confused.

FINALLY, I am going to post a postive thing I have found about Trump, so here is to you GB :130: This one is for you okay?

The US has 38 States which has enacted The Right to Try for terminally ill patients. It seems Trump wanst Right to Try in all States.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01 ... g-law.html

And lower drug prices. Lower? Interesting. The Government interferring with drug prices from Big Pharma. Yes other countries have lower drug prices, we always were told that is the benefit of a form of democratic socialism, were we not?

So here we have the Reps being mandated with lowering drug prices in the USA? Muzzled capitalism coming?

Let's hope they make it.

Hard to believe how easily impressed people become with Trump when he manages to clear the low bar he's set for himself. This is still the same guy that joked with the Boys Scouts of America about what happens on a billionaire's yacht when they're in international waters. It's a hilarious sight to see how with just the lightest buffing they manage to polish this *bleep* of a President. [icon_lol2.gif]

Added. Some are saying that he had a unifying message but let's be clear, we he said “Americans are dreamers too,” he was driving a wedge between Dreamers and his base. Similar to the blue lives matter backlash to black lives matter, it's goal is to draw a line in the sand and say you can't you can't stand on both sides. Either you're for average Americans or you're for Dreamers, you can't be both so pick sides and duke it out. When the reality is that if done properly, what is good for the Dreamers is also good for Americans.

Right, like no one ever threatened her over her allegations. Clear as day.

A growing number of Canadian drilling rigs are being moved south of the border to take advantage of brighter prospects for oil
and gas in the United States — and observers say it's unlikely they will ever return home.
