Top Ten Hypocrisies of Donald Trump

Post by OldIslander »

Donald Trump must be the most hypocritical President in the history of the US. Here are ten that rise to the top of the list. What others should be added?

(So this is just Trump's hypocrisies -- if you'd like to rebut with the hypocrisies of others, please start a new thread. But by all means, let us know if you feel that any of these are not hypocritical, or are justified.)

__________________________________________________________

Trump often accused Hillary Clinton of being careless with classified information via her email servers. But he invited Russian officials into the Oval Office and spilled classified information, passed in good faith to the US, from Israel.

He seldom if ever tells the truth about anything, yet on a near daily basis, accuses the press of lying about him or spreading ‘fake news’.

Often accused Hillary Clinton of not having enough stamina to be president. Now three days into his first foreign trip, he is reported to be exhausted, and is cancelling appearances.

For the past couple of years, constantly criticized Obama for playing golf. Trump has now played nearly as much golf since being elected, and Obama did in his entire two terms.

During Obama’s term, Trump constantly criticized him taking vacations paid for by the US. Since Trump has been in power, his near weekly travel to Florida and/or New Jersey, has nearly exceeded Obama’s travel expenses for his entire term.

For years, Trump railed that Obama should release his college transcripts, suggesting that was hiding something his past. But for his entire career, Trump has claimed he has an MBA from Wharton and was first in his class. But Trump only has a Batchlor of Science and didn’t make the Dean’s List, so wasn’t even in the top 20 in his class. He won’t release his college transcripts so Americans can see what kind of student he really was.

Trump constantly calls for ‘buy America’. But his red campaign ballcaps were made in China. The steel for his last building was Chinese. All the merchandise in his daughter's line of designer clothing is made in foreign countries.

Trump is waging a campaign to deport all illegal aliens from the US. Yet he has hired thousands of them over the years, to work his construction sites, golf courses, etc.

Trump often said during his stump speeches that he was an extremely honest person and would never tell a lie. It turns out that it is very difficult to find anything true in his statements. Nearly everything he says is a lie.

When Mitt Romney was running for President, Trump called for him to release his income tax returns. Yet he won’t release his own, even after saying he would when an ongoing audit was complete. Now he says he won’t – period.

Oh great idea for a thread OldIslander!

There are many instances of his boarish behaviour yet he expects people to respect him and take him seriously...

cause Hes Donald Trump and now the president. Lol

One of my favourites is...

Bragging about preferring eating well done steaks with ketchup when chefs and kitchen staff bust their guts

to present him with the very best of culinary creativeness.

So much for being high society and a pillar of the World's elite.

The Donald is making America Great again by proposing a $4.1 Trillion budget counting on fast economic growth and cutting

funds to programs assisting America's low income citizens. It's many of the low income folks that still support Trump

and believe the ridiculous batherings this idiot continues to spew out. Way to go Donald!

Just thought of another.

A few years ago, when Hillary and Michelle Obama were in Saudi Arabia, neither wore head coverings and Trump at the time criticized them, saying this was greatly disrespectful to the Saudi's, and that they would insulted by it. Yet, during his trip, none of the women in his entourage including his wife and daughter, wore head coverings.

And another from their recent trip, when Obama was in Saudi Arabia, he did a deep bow to the King. Trump roundly criticized him for it. Yet when Trump was there, not only did he bow for his medal, he actually did a little curtsy at the end....!

My own opinion is that no US president should bow to any other leader in the world, and I can't imagine a US president expecting anything more from another world leader visiting the states, than a handshake.

Edit: Rethinking the 'bow' business, Japan might be an exception. Obama bowed to the Japanese Prime Minister when he was there. But in Japan, everyone bows to everyone. There are subtle differences in the bows, that westerners probably don't even notice -- some bows are more subservient than others. I was there on business years ago, and got used to doing it. I think a US Prez should do it, so long as he/she has been instructed on the correct bow.

He also criticized Michelle Obama for not wearing a headscarf to Saudi Arabia. "They were offended. We have enuf enemies" sic. Yet Melania and Ivanka both kept their heads unobscured. Sad.
