It would be interesting to know when chroming actual started, reason looking at bar stools.

Look like the Cowboy bar is dated 1950's. Lots of pictures on it.

One of the best bars I was ever in was in Montana. No barstools, just like in a lot of these pictures. You "bellied up to the bar". It was great. I kept expecting Clint Eastwood to walk in. He didn't. :(

If you’re ever in Ft. Macleod’s Silver Grill, say hi to Lilly if she’s still there and ask her about the mirror.

Built in 1910 and named after the builder A.T. Leather, the Leather Block has always housed the Silver Grill, one of Fort Macleod’s most colourful businesses both in architecture and history. Stained glass windows and sandstone highlight the exterior. Inside an ornate arch decorated with scrollwork with the words “Silver Grill” welcomes you. Situated along the wall is the original bar with carved woodwork, brass handles and the legendary cracked, plate glass mirror.
Stories are told of the legendary “bullet hole” in the mirror. The favourite story is of a cowboy who rode into the bar, pulled out his gun and shot the top off a whiskey bottle, cracking the mirror. After being given the bottle, he left. (supposedly 1912)
