Is Kim Jong-un the world's next Boogeyman?

The world needs a good Boogeyman now more than ever.

Without a Boogeyman, we would not be able to spend
$trillions on wars to enrich the richest people. Osama Bin Laden is dead now, and Ahmadinejad of Iran
seems to have retired. Putim seems to be outsmarting us at every step, and just isn't a very good Boogeyman.

Do you think Kim Jong-un is our best Boogeyman choice right now? Would you be willing to pay $trillions for a war
with this Boogeyman? Would you sacrifice your life to get rid of this Boogeyman?

Or should we be looking for (or creating) another Boogeyman?

No need. The Americans, much to their embarrassment, just elected a boogeyman to be their president.
We have enough boogeymen now. The east have Putin and Kim Jong-Un. The west has Trump.

Don't make it personal, Thanks

Kim Jong-un isn't the next Boodeyman, Donald Trump is. When was the last time you heard a President of the US threatening to unleash "fire like the world has never seen"? Never, not even during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Medical experts have said that Trump exhibits signs of mental illness. He's scary as hell and it's taken him 6 months to bring the world to the brink of nuclear war. I hate to think about what he can accomplish in the next 3.5 years.

I still can't believe that Americans were stupid enough to vote this clown in.

Just before they voted him in, Hillary's people slaughtered 10,000 Ukrainians, probably
hoping to provoke Russia into something big, and Israel slaughtered 3,000 Palestinians
a few years earlier, probably hoping to provoke Iran into something big, and Trump
said he would work together with other countries to make America great. I would have
voted for Trump if I was American.

And so far - no WW3. Trump is doing good so far.

Set the bar low enough, everyone can be a success. I also will consider Trump's term a success if he doesn't start WWIII.

Have to give the hermit king credit, he's punching well above his weight but having his way with the US because Trump is incapable of controlling his ID.

Was watching a documentary yesterday about the cold war and Soviet boomer subs being tailed by US attack subs in the '80s. What struck me was the comment by Soviet captain- we didn't see ourselves as evil, we bought our wives flowers and chocolates, we saw the Americans as the aggressors. *Paraphrasing of course.

It's ridiculous. North Korea cannot win militarily against NATO/USA. China has trillions invested in the west, they won't "help"NK. However, fallout is along China's border that which they do care, as evidenced by Indian troops around disputed territory with Tibet and China c

When was the last time North Korea had a successful mini nuke test? Never. Would you like Mr. Trump to just sit back and wait this one out? Maybe Kim will get bored if Trump doesn't make comments back and attack just to get his attention and have his military taken seriously.

Perhaps I'm mistaken? Care not to cite historical fact. Why would the world's super powers care about a "banana communist state" that doesn't have nuclear capability?

This sort of bombast and pomposity coming from Kim Jong-Un is not something that would surprise most people. Sadly, it is not something coming from Trump that completely surprises any of us either - but it is certainly not something any reasonable person would expect from the president of the United States. As much as Trump continues to embarrass himself, his country and all who continue to make excuses for him, for the rest of the world amusement turns to disgust.

Question: As the rhetoric being spewed by the two man-children continues to ramp up, whose ego cracks first?

Answer: It doesn’t matter

Trump's mouth may be locked and loaded but his brain remains fully disengaged.

Previous Presidents have tried diplomatic language AND IT HASN'T WORKED.

So maybe the only thing North Korea understands is rhetoric that is similar to their own. Time will tell.

One thing Trump's tough talk has achieved, is finally getting everyone (even China) onside in agreeing to tougher sanctions against Korea. And China has also gone public warning N Korea that it won't help them if they start any aggression against the U.S. and the U.S. retaliates. Both of which are very positive moves, and both of which appeared impossible to achieve when U.S. Presidents were being more diplomatic about N Korean aggressive behaviour.

So, up to this point, Trump's tough talk has produced some positive results.

None of us want war, not even Trump, but if N Korea starts one the U.S. will have no choice but to fight back. And N Korea needs to understand that, before they do something foolish in the mistaken belief that they'll somehow "get away with it".

Trump isn't trying to start a war; he's trying to prevent one.

Bad Trump, Bad Trump, lol.
Then again, you have the Kim lineage and religion. North Koreans believe Kim il-sung 'created the world' and the NK calendar starts here. The Kim's kill close relatives, ride unicorns, had divine births, do not urinate or defecate, require citizens by law to have pictures in their homes and worship the leaders, lest you end up with 200,000 others in a hard labor camp for the rest of your life along with all your relatives to 3 generations (40% will die from malnutrition), and have perpetuated the belief that the internet does not exist, all to keep the 25 million from knowing anything about the real world, and blue jeans are illegal. Kim Jong-Il claims to have invented the hamburger. All this just scrapes the surface along with being voted worlds most corrupt nation. On the up-side, there are no Islamic extremists living in NK, lol. Kim is on a totally different level of crazy than Trump.
