What Hitler's plan was for Russia

I dunno average Joe, you may have read some history books, but it appears you're not a strategist. Many conflicts are based on access to resources. Japan bombed the US over oil embargoes and since Germany were pact with Japan, its a reasonable conclusion that barbarossa was instigated in response to, not just for axis allies but Ukrainian bread basket and caucusses oil, for war machine and imperialist ambitions. I'd even argue had Hitler not been a complete control ego freak and let his experienced generals lead strategy, Germany would have won that war. A brilliant mind; crappy strategist and socio path.

Lebensraum- "living space".
The annexation of parts of Czechoslovakia- sudetenland.
Where after Neville Chamberlain waved before all, the peace accord between Britain and Germany. The "policy of appeasement", the one used as today still (may or may not be correct, each is judged on merit), for military build up to prevent world domination by bad men.

And here we are. Throwing facts around, making points. The only true losers are those that died for men/souls like what's being discussed.

As aside, I've noticed how anti communism you are. Marxism/communism/socialism are borne of the same ideal; fairness for all. The wealthy/lords/emperors/kings have theirs; why shouldn't the people? Again, human nature gets in the way... no-one wants to be paid in socks.

You live in Canada. Your "feelings" are checked for free. None of us can deny that this form of socialism is beneficial when we need a heart transplant, for example. Otherwise, we're kidnapping and cutting out of others for the price of who can afford.... crap very much Like capitalism in the US.

For a poster that has attacked another, I'm quite shocked that you haven't responded to me calling you about the realities of history, and your perception of it. ;)

Answer you? You didn't say anything worth commenting on.... :D

Well if you wish....

The annexation of parts of Czechoslovakia- Sudetenland. (Czechoslovakia was an artificial country created after WW1)

So how does Lebensraum fit in with the Sudeteland? It had a large German population in it already?

You don't seem to know that other parts of Czechoslovakia were given back to Poland and Hungary at the same time the Sudeteland was annexed by Germany???

Why didn't you not mention that? :smt045

Germany was not the only country involved as your try to make everyone think.... :smt045

Image
Germany, Poland and Hungary annexed together parts of Czechoslovakia

It then became Slovakia and.....was the only country along with the German Army to attack Poland on Sept.1st 1939

Bet you didn't know that either... :smt045

Wikipedia:

The Sudetenland; German: is the name for the northern, southern, and western areas of former Czechoslovakia which were inhabited primarily by Sudeten Germans. These German speakers had predominated in the border districts of Bohemia, Moravia, and Czech Silesia from the time of the Austrian Empire.

The word "Sudetenland" did not come into existence until the early 20th century and did not come to prominence until after the First World War, when the German-dominated Austria-Hungary was dismembered and the Sudeten Germans found themselves living in the new country of Czechoslovakia.

Any time you want to go head to head.....

Slovak invasion of Poland (1939)

Image
German/Slovakian invasion of Poland...

The Slovak invasion of Poland occurred during Germany's invasion of Poland in September 1939. The recently created Slovak Republic joined the attack, and the Slovak Field Army Bernolák contributed over 50,000 soldiers in three divisions. As the main body of the Polish forces were engaged with the German armies farther north of the southern border, the Slovak invasion met only weak resistance and suffered minimal losses.

German ally: The history of Croatian Army fighting the Soviets...

The Croatians were the only ally the Germans asked to enter and take the City of Stalingrad

From the article below....
The Croatian 369th Regiment thus became the only unit of non-Germans to participate in the attack on Stalingrad. This was actually viewed as a great honor - a reward for its hard fought battles and excellent successes to this point.

Finnish/Soviet Winter War of Nov. 1939 - March 1940

Massive Soviet Union tries to invade peaceful Finns!

Fight to a draw!

And then the Continual War of 1941-1944.

Great pics of the Winter War and the continual war when Finland joined the invasion of Soviet Russia

What Hitler's plan was for Russia....let see what Soviet Russia was up too? :smt045

It's interesting that the Soviet Red Army attacked Poland twice. Sept. 1st 1939 of course.

But what about the summer of 1920?

Image

Soviets pushing for world domination after securing Russia as a home base after the successful 1917 Communist take over of Russia.....4 years after the master plan for World revolution organized at the First Comintern (Communist International) meeting of world revolutionaries.

During 1919, Communist defeats in the Finnish Civil War, Bavaria and Hungary.

The Soviets unleash the Red Army on Poland....

From the Wikipedia article below....

[5] The conflict began when Polish head of state Józef Piłsudski formed an alliance with the Ukrainian nationalist leader Symon Petlyura (on April 21, 1920) The Bolshevik's speeches asserted that the revolution was to be carried to western Europe on the bayonets of Russian soldats and that the shortest route to Berlin and Paris lay through Warsaw.

More of What Hitler's plan was for Russia......what the Soviets were up too. :smt045

The planned starvation by the Soviet Communists of the Ukraine people in the winter of 1932/1933 may have contributed to the election of The NSDAP in Germany on Jan 30th, 1933 giving Hitler the leadership of Germany.

Rumors of Soviet Communist brutality in the Ukraine could have pushed the German people to vote him in?

Along with a very log list of brutality against the Church and ethic Russians since the take over in 1917....

We still don't really understand why USA invaded Iraq, or why Canada (Harper's dream) helped the Yanks
invade and kill Gadafy in Libya. If we could figure out what is happening now, it might help figure out
what happened in WW2.

Hitler might have had a few things correct, in his disgusting lifetime. But we're not going to ever
answer the question - why Germany attacked Russia - completely. Humans aren't even able to figure
out or answer why we screwed over our own family members, for the money. WW2 was 80 years ago.

But one question for AverageJoe - I heard Germany looted all the gold from Poland when they attacked.
Can someone on this forum answer, if Germany stole Poland's gold or not.
That would help to figure a lot of other WW2 things out.
Ukraine is broke, and undertook a war on that portion of the country that provided 30% of GDP. Now a draft, for an army, for a war, for a government that will - get this - implement IMF/EU *austerity*.
