To blame anyone for voting in Trump other than the fools that voted for him is a bit like blaming your parents for braking the window because they didn't stop you.

Can you imagine voting for the biggest criminal family in American history! [icon_lol2.gif]

Very interesting.

"It's not about what we want to believe, it's about what's true."

"I wonder if the way we got here has unleashed forces that could undo everything we achieved."

"I wonder if people distorted the original idea to the point where actually you kind of invert things. ... somehow the new anti-racism has, to some extent, come to resemble the old racism in its inflexibility."

"When you are able to look at the data without obsessing about racial prejudice, or being afraid of being called racist, you can start giving help to those who most need it. That's true equality."

It's a pretty bold look at what's behind the wave of anger and resentment, from one of the architects. Thanks for posting it.

yes. Please keep repeating this mantra. Blame the electorate for being stupid, rather than ever look inward at your own flaws and what makes your team unelectable (hint, groups like Ultraviolet are one of those reasons you are unelectable). It's the best way to ensure Trump is president until 2024.

I get it. The right is tired of being called stupid. For as far back as anyone can recall city folk have made country folk out to be dumb. The Beverly Hillbillies type thing, I understand that part of it. The part I don't get is when they give someone like Trump the nuclear launch codes, aren't they in no uncertain terms proving them right?

Another on the left who is telling the truth. "We did this. I did this." Bang on. Thanks for posting.

I'm curious as to how people make the leap from boycotting Starbucks (or anyone else who rents space in one of Trump's many buildings) to "sticking it to Trump", and why anyone thinks sticking it to Trump by not buying their pumpkin spice lattes could possibly make a difference when the real problem is far more direct, and the left simply can't do it. Because they can't fact it, I guess, but still.

This guy's on the left, and he's telling the left what actually will make a difference, and the left still refuses to listen.

But really, what can one expect from folk who think that everyone who's fed up enough to vote against the Democrats must be stupid, or that boycotting Starbucks (or any other corporation) can somehow counteract the tidal wave of anger and resentment currently sweeping the globe? That's both funny and sad. But mostly funny. For now, anyway.

I thought that the right were all about taking personal responsibility, but it seems I am wrong. Stop blaming other people for your own mistakes.

If they call you stupid and you do a stupid thing, they were right, even before you did the stupid thing.

I don't exactly lean to the left, but the right is making it real hard to keep saying that. The left may have lots of idiots, but the mainstream right seems to have the majority of the hardcore stupid sown up nice and tight.

Maybe these guys are right and it's up to the left to persuade the right not to elect a moron. Purhaps it's true that it's up to the left to change the way they deliver thier message so the right doesn't vote in a buffoon.

I can see how the right wing carries no personal responsibility or should in any way take ownership of its decisions. Starting to realize that the left forcing the right to continually vote against thier own best interest is the real problem.

Boy you guys sure like living outside the bounds of reality. How about this - though I know it's hard to follow for you guys - why not put forward a leader who isn't also a moron, and who listens to both sides, instead of being an elitist jerk-off too? How about that?
