The parents said he must have been desperate and was trying to provide for his child. If that is the case, you'd think he should have chosen first to ask his parents for assistance rather than bust in to a business with a gun. His 'young' child is probably too young to eat pizza so he probably was going after cash. He could have sold his gun and got quite a bit of $$.
