If it was a "Hate crime", why would they agree to be room-mates in the first place? They must have liked each other enough to decide to live together at one time.

Apparently the roommates were randomly assigned. What a psychopath. I can’t imagine all the work and time required to abuse a roommate in such a way with no regards for safety. Briana had an Art scholarship. Could be a rival jealousy girly thing, or perhaps Briana is just a nutcase. Then again, sounds like a lot of gf stories I’ve heard, could be just today’s normal.
