Ecological battles can be against wind farms and how they affect the local diversity. Green against Green.

More birds will live to see another day.

Not even in the top 10. It’s just a scapegoat, and excuse people make to try and justify their hatred. Fossil fuels lead to far more bird deaths.

So does that make it right? If I only kill 2 people in a gun attack instead of 25 does it make it okay? As has been shown in the site C thread there are also many articles showing huge numbers of birds killed. No one can deny they are bird killers, but the jury is out on just how many

This will greatly increase the cost of offshore wind farms due to the distance of extremely expensive transmission that will be required if they have to move far out.

Things aren’t always a right/wrong situation. If you only killed 2 people in your gun attack, instead of 25, it would be much better.......especially for the 23 people whom you didn’t kill.
Minimizing damage is sometimes a valid goal.

Just pointing out, that it’s pretty much a red herring. Per GW/hour, wind farms kill far less birds than fossil fuels. Magnitudes fewer. Meanwhile the person complaining about a mostly insignificant number of birds killed being a reason to shut down wind farms, is posting with an avatar of the number 1 bird killer worldwide...

You can say what you want about wind power, cost or bird deaths but the real killers here were the
“Kennedy and Koch families”, the rich do not give up their perks without a fight.

Greenies are the most myopic creatures on the planet. It's all about the agenda and not about any consequences. Especially economic consequences.
