US Government shut down
The US government has shut down. The president may try to blame democrats, however it was not their support he required, nor has made any effort to obtain. The blame lies squarely on him and his party, who despite having majority power could not stand with their “leader”.

It usually political bs & games (biggest losers in this is the US citizens), they shut us down in 2013 so we will shut them down 2018.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

100 percent on the democrats and a few treasonous republicans.
This is the most sickening thing ever to happen.
Putting illegal aliens in front of American citizens is wrong. The people will correctly remember this.

Eric Trump Says Shutdown Is 'A Good Thing For Us'
Eric Trump went on Fox News on Saturday night to declare the government shutdown “a good thing for us” — apparently because it makes the Democrats look bad.

The whole family – a real class act (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree). The really sad thing is they know they have supporters stupid enough to believe it. A majority in the Senate and Congress, and the Trump’s (and their dwindling base) think shutting the government down is good for America because it makes the Democrats look bad. Wow. God help America.

You have zero clue what you are talking about. Trump and the republicans wanted this. They forced this shutdown themselves. They had a bipartisan deal with the democrats, and then the republicans changed their mind to force this shutdown.

Or so the Democrats and the left wing media would have us believe. No spin whatsoever.

Trump properly rejected a badly flawed deal. Any serious deal would have included an end to lottery/chain migration along with funding for substantial improvements to border security, and a legal resolution to the status of those who were brought or sent into the country illegally as minors.
McConnell should show some courage and end the shutdown with a straight majority vote. Refusing to do so based on the fear that the Dems will abuse the practice in the future is silly. Of course they will. It doesn't matter whether McConnell uses it first to put things in order.

Of course it's wrong. Are people informed enough to hold the Dems to account? Probably not. Too many of them believe whatever the Dems and their handmaids in the media tell them.

Im not sure the people could read it any other way.
Any decent person would agree. American tax dollars should go to Americans. Its only low life democrats who want to give the country to illegal invaders.
Illegal crossings were way down. Now back up to obama levels due to inaction on the border wall.
Unfortunately the democrats holding this much needed project up has now cost human life. 5 mexicans were found frozen dead in texas 80 miles north of the border.
Guess thats more global warming.
So back to the democrats shutdown. Why is it ok for democrats to shut down the US government in favor of illegal alien invaders ? Why are some foolish people on here defending treasonous democrats

One week after this shutdown is over the only thing Americans will remember is the leadership or lack of.

Wasn't it Denmark or Belgium that shut down for like a year a few years ago, and no one died. All it did was save tax payer's money. I know that the likes of Ben Shapiro are saying the shutdown will hopefully go on for a while to deflate the big government of the USA.

Re: US Government shut down
Obama was in charge of a few shutdowns in his tenure. Although, it appears as shutdowns actually cost more money since when employees come back, they are paid retroactively, plus there is money lost from state park admission fees and other things I read. There will come a time when the debt ceiling will not be able to be increased.

Re: US Government shut down
Now for a fact, the Democrats invoked a Filibuster which then requires 3/5 vote to overcome. Since the Republicans do not have a 3/5 majority it does not matter if every Rep voted for the bill. It can't pass.
The Dems know this so they basically are saying they control the vote until they get their way.
Another fact, not all Rep voted yes and not all Dems voted no.
But for now the gov is back up and running, mostly. New temporary deal has been reached.
