(CNN) - A Republican congressman from Florida announced his support for a ban on assault weapon sales Friday in an op-ed in The New York Times.

week after one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern US history, Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced a comprehensive plan to keep students safe in his state, including suggestions to raise the minimum age to buy a gun, keep weapons out of the hands of the mentally ill and ban the sale of bump stocks.

Not all people can be police, soldier, EMTs, fIreman, etc They can not screen out the folks they know are not mentally ready to do the job it offended to many so now you get this.

Anyone can see what gabfiles stands for . I remember seeing that name in the news while back . A little searching shows you have the gabfiles app which is conected with. Neo nazi website and trusting anything coming from a website or app that trys to say google is run by evil jews says it all .

This is a article on who started gabfiles

https://techcrunch.com/2016/11/12/pro-t ... ombinator/

Social network Gab.ai, known as an anything-goes haven for the far-right, is seeing blowback from the past month’s online white supremacist crackdown. CEO Andrew Torba writes that last week, domain registrar AsiaRegistry told Gab to take down a post by the founder of neo-Nazi site Daily Stormer. Torba complied, but in the process, he set off a debate over the platform’s “free speech” bona fides — and the state of moderating online hate speech.

If it looks,like a,duck ect ect .

Anyways, back on topic. I personaly would not trust any news on school shooting coming from a person or persons that support the daily stormer .they have an agenda, that involves ovens and stuff

Well i suggest you tell fox news and alex jones to cut them some slack as they are pushing the notion that they were cowards .

COP WHO DIDN'T ENTER SCHOOL DURING FLORIDA SHOOTING RESIGNS, HAS HOME GUARDED, IS SLAMMED AS 'COWARD' BY TRUMP

The allegations add to a series of failures that have emerged since 19-year-old gunman Nikolas Cruz killed 17 students and staff, and wounded 16. Cruz was arrested and charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.

And the president it seems is in on the coward notion.

At this point its all guessing until the police release a full report

I am not cutting anyone slack I believe that the old marine type drill sergeant has a place in getting rid of people that are not mentally ready to do the job. But the old sergeant hurt to many feelings and slapped a few to many people around.

NRA is the oldest civil rights group in the world. Are you against civil rights ? I have deep rooted personal reasons for supporting the NRA. They stand for freedom and justice. What do you stand for.
Personally i feel good supporting a group that stands for freedom. People say to put your money where your mouth is. I did and do.

The North American gun owner is the last stand against tyranny. Any government that wants to disarm its population is a bad government.

Like Tariq Aziz said prior to the second invasion of iraq. A rifle behind every blade of grass.

We need to build a strong society and nation. Shooting good is part of it.

Why do u support gun grabbing clown socialists ?

The guy in charge accepted the resignation of one officer and he said he will deal with the others, as he sees fit . Using directives from a neo nazi app is a,fools game at best , disrespectful to the dead at worst .

But what it does point out is arming teachers is not going to prevent anything and could end up with teachers getting shot if they are running around with guns in a emergency situation .

Another thing is we do not know yet what procedure they use there for shooting scenes . We do not know if it is rush in or wait for swat team to show up . It is all just guessing until they release a report which they are working on.

It turned out in.moncton that the rcmp did infact under arm their officers and received a workplace fine for it . But we had to wait for a investigation to finish to come to that conclusion.

If it turns out that they were ordered in or failed to do their duty then they will be let go . I have no concerns with that . Guessing before all facts come out is silly and does no one any good

It's my thought that the NRA promotes fear, oppression and violence. Is there any reason to carry and own an assault rifle, or a pistol? You can't hunt deer with them. No, they are designed to kill people only, and in this case children.

Keep your rifles to hunt deer/moose/elk, but really, a hand gun or an AK? Collect all assault rifles and pistols, charge the owners with conspiracy to commit murder (because that's their only use), and the world will be a safer place.

I was a Paramedic for 36 years. I've seen death hundreds of times and firearms are truly a coward's tool. You can be anonymous, numerous and indiscriminate. Gun carriers (outside law enforcement and military) have no business with weapons of mass destruction. Seventeen dead is a mass casualty. Shame on the NRA and their supporters.

EMT's and firemen etc have no reason to carry, in a reasonable society. If forced, I would have changed professions. I suppose there will be an acute teacher shortage in the USA. I feel sorry and sad for the American public, but encouraged by the students old enough to vote in the next election.
Get rid of gun violence/get rid of guns. That's a no brainer.

I am a gun owning hunter. My bolt action rifle is extremely powerful, but would be next to useless should the government become oppressive and tyrannical. The government will never fear individual gun owners, no matter how well equipped. Imagining otherwise is simply delusional. Canada’s gun laws seem relatively reasonable to me, where the are progressive limitations to different classes of firearms. The NRA today is simply a trade group representing manufacturers who have a vested interested in pushing this fear of the government coming for our guns.

Even the 2A references a “well-regulated militia”.
