Australian Election
Similar to 2016, Labour overplayed its hand, catering too much to progressive activists at the expense of the blue collar/union left, at it cost them the election.

The class-based realignment of party politics isn’t unique to my country. All over the world, left-wing parties increasingly are being co-opted by politicians who reflect the attitudes and priorities of voters with higher incomes and education levels, while right-wing parties increasingly attract blue-collar workers who’ve become alienated by parties that once championed the little guy.

Classic neoliberalism.
"We call ourselves left wing but refuse to change the status quo or help working people so lets talk about trans people and illegal immigration instead"
Speaking of failed political plans...here comes Joe Biden!
