I'm thinking about the "lowered expectations." Not sure how low low can go with people these days.

From the way my clients all talk, it was easy to meet someone and get married. "We met at a barn dance" or "my friend called me to help her out with four guys, I guess she wanted me to meet one of them, and I did!" We met... blah blah, so how are people meeting up today at all?

And with most of us having built up assets, a house, some stuff, stocks, pension, to suddenly meet up with someone who isn't a gold digger and didn't contribute a dime, well, that makes life just that much harder.

40 something? I'm 53 and not single. I am going to confess though to recent matchmaking attempts.

Its likely an " app" on their phone thingy... Or perhaps there is not an app is a more sensible reason. No app, cant figure it out.

Weird, I never had any issues 30 years ago regarding dating. Had some good and not so good relationships. 20 years ago was set up on a blind date and well....that worked.
