Both you and I have discussed the NRA in the other thread, and even posted the NRA's link and wiki's link on their history in the other thread. I know you don't want to touch the domestic terrorism point, so perhaps just not say anything at all?

You really want the NRA to be nothing but gun safety group - unfortunately they are pure lobbyists for the gun industry.

Salesmen.

The NRA's emotional catalyst is "the 2nd amendment", which is plastered all over their website, documents and in their pamphlets and in their speeches. It's what every gun-clutching America is screaming. SECOND AMENDMENT.

What is the 2nd amendment? Domestic terrorism for white Christians.

Sorry, I don't see the Second Amendment as "Domestic terrorism for white Christians". I'm pretty sure there's lots of legal gun owners who are not white and who are not Christians and who support the NRA and the Second Amendment. Perhaps you might want to read up on the reasons why they added the Second Amendment to their constitution so you at least are dealing in facts instead of fear-mongering.

I also did not post a wiki link for the NRA, even though you accused me of that. You mistakenly said the NRA was started as something it was not. I posted the history of the NRA from the NRA website so you could see they were started as primarily teachers of marksmanship and evolved into teachers of gun safety - which is still their function today.

The NRA kool-aid has been consumed. No point in even going there with you. Marksmen/saftey? Check their bank statements. Who pays their bills? Marksmen? LOL

The Second Amendment is the right to bear arms to fight government tyranny, is it not? First Obama takes your guns, then he brings in his socialist agenda and THE PEOPLE CANT FIGHT BACK OMG (insert Hitler comments)

"We don't like the taxation system of the British - so lets grab our guns and lets create OUR OWN COUNTRY" - and the United States was born. That's why the 2nd amendment is so important to them - their country was forged with violence and terrorism.

Yes there are some black NRA members. Yes some may not be Christian. If you take me as 100% literal, don't.

If a BLACK ANARCHIST (the black panthers!) wanted to "fight tyranny" and take out the government - he would be arrested for domestic terrorism when he started into his efforts would he not?

Please explain how wanting to topple the government with violence is "a point of national pride" sometimes, but other times (usually when committed by non-white, non Christan Americans) it is a sickening and cowardly terrorist act of aggression.

How can American Al Qaeda members make a call to arms to address their problems with the government and end up being tortured in Gitmo, yet the NRA and Alex Jones say the same thing (and fund the organization) and not even be arrested?

Why was the NRA not arming #occupywallstreet and The Black Panthers?

Do a little reading on the NRA and the KKK, then get back to me on why I chose to make the point of saying "White Christians".

The "born-again" president, Carter, was the first public figure to refer to himself as a Christian. Before that time there was not really any such thing as Christian political movements in the U.S. A 100 years ago, and even 40 years ago, people didn't equate gun rights or any other issue of the day as a fight for Christians.

I say "Christian" because if a American Islamic person wanted to "address tyranny" with violence, they would be arrested for terrorism. The FBI doesn't stake out Christian Churches and the NRA headquarters, they stake out Mosques. Most of the country had a cow when a Mosque was being built close to "ground zero". The FBI gets a thousand calls a day from people reporting that "they heard people talking in a middle eastern language and they seemed suspicious".

...yet NRA supporters routinely say they will take the government out if 'Obama tries something". The NRA backs them and encourages them. No arrests, no water boarding. They routinely invoke a Christian god in their language and speeches.

Also, I'm pretty sure that god was on the currency and in the language of the United States Government before Jimmy Carter.

Woodrow Wilson:
“America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify that devotion to the elements of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of the Holy Scripture"

Domestic terrorism is ok if you can trace your family tree back to slave ownership, I guess.

I'm trying to find the racial demographics of NRA membership...will update if successful.

Looks like MSNBC did some creative editing to make it look like the father was heckled.
