Health officials last weekend confirmed two cases of measles and identified up to 100 suspected cases at a religious school in Chilliwack where vaccination rates are low. On Thursday, the Fraser Health Authority advised that the measles had spread into the general populations of Chilliwack and Agassiz and said it would open special vaccination clinics in those communities over the weekend.

So two people in a big church of 1,000 had measles. God's the only one who knows where those two people got the measles from. Did they get it from school? I went to a small church of about thirty five people for three years, and occasionally people in that church were sick. I don't know where they got it (sickness) from. One time one of the church people said they got sick because they ate some all natural potato chips and (back then) Clearly Canadian drinks that I bought. I'm not making this up - the church person believed they got sick from eating food I paid for - and get this - because I was feeling bad for spending so much money on those snacks. My church believed if someone feels bad for spending money on food - and you eat the food, you can get sick. Churches have many weird beliefs, but so do non-believers have even worse, more insane beliefs. Some of the sickest people I've seen are the sinfullest people.

But we don't know where the measles came from. Some goofball from Vancovuer Sun, a newspaper that is probablyy losing money writes an article without proper research, and suddenly all of Castanet thinks that article is accurate.

Here's something about vaccines to think about:
Finland and Sweden to compensate vaccine-injured children

In Finland, 79 children aged four to 19 developed narcolepsy after receiving the Pandemrix vaccine in 2009 and 2010. In Sweden the number was close to 200. Both countries recommended their populations to take part in mass vaccinations during the swine flu scare and Pandemrix was the only vaccine used in both countries.

Narcolepsy is a chronic nervous system disorder that causes excessive drowsiness. It often causes people to fall asleep uncontrollably. In more severe cases, some suffer hallucinations or paralysing physical collapses called cataplexy. Finnish and Swedish governments have both agreed to provide financial compensation for the affected children after their own national research showed a link between the inoculation and narcolepsy.

Other confirmatory analyses also identified an increased risk. Last Friday, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control also said that the vaccine is linked to a higher risk of narcolepsy in children and teens in Sweden and Finland.

A recent medical error compensation in Italy which began as a vaccine injury was a record 1.8 million euros. See: http://www.examiner.com/article/health- ... lion-euros

Unfortunate that people didn't vaccinate their children. Measles is a very serious disease.

The measles continues to spread throughout the eastern Fraser Valley as some people showing symptoms of the virus are not following instructions to isolate themselves at home, the Fraser Health Authority warned Wednesday

Chilliwack is supposedly a 'bible belt' area of BC. Huge churches of 1,000 or thousands of people
wherever they are, Calgary, Kelowna, Vancouver - in my opinion are ..... a bit stupid. Because I hate
the idea of one guy standing in front of 1,000 people telling those 1,000 people all about God, when I'm quite
sure that one person who is preaching - knows no more than any of the 1,000 people who are listening.

But I bet 95% of those huge churches get vaccinated and get flu shots just like everyone else. or more.

The measles outbreak in the eastern Fraser Valley originated with a family returning from a trip to the Netherlands in January, the Fraser Health Authority said Monday.

As much as I hate large groups of people going all religious with their hands in the air at the same time,
as one person in front of the church gets them allmotivated to act religious,

I think the title of this thread is misleading
Vaccines interfere with God’s care -OMG!

I bet more religious people get vaccines than don't get vaccines.

It's amazing how some amateurish goof from Vancouver Sun writes an article and the majority of people think it's true.
OH NO - CHURCH PEOPLE ARE SPREADING MEASLES!

Here's some info that says measles spread from hospitals:

Measles Outbreak May Have Spread in Medical Facilities, a New York City Official Says

A rare outbreak of measles in New York City may have been spread by the failure of medical workers to recognize the disease quickly enough and to quarantine patients so they would not infect others, a city epidemiologist said this week.

Dr. Jay Varma, the health department’s deputy commissioner for disease control, said the department’s investigators were looking at whether some of the 20 confirmed cases, which are concentrated in northern Manhattan, might have resulted from exposure in medical facilities. Measles is one of the most contagious diseases and can be spread through airborne respiratory droplets even two hours after an infected person has left the room.

“We know a number of people were exposed and possibly got their infection either at a doctor’s office or at an emergency room where they went and it took more time than it should have for them to be put in an isolation area where they couldn’t possibly infect anyone else,” Dr. Varma said.

The first known case of the disease was detected in early February.

Dr. Varma declined to identify any medical facilities, saying that such exposure in a hospital was not unusual and that “we are not trying to shame any one institution.” But he said this route of exposure could make it harder to contain and to track the outbreak, because it was not concentrated in any one social or cultural circle, as contagious diseases often are.

A health department spokeswoman said that no cases had been traced to a hospital, but on March 12, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center sent an email to its staff saying several pediatric and adult patients with measles had sought treatment there, “resulting in nearly 600 patients being potentially exposed to measles.” The email went on to say, “Many of our clinical staff have never seen a case of measles.”

It attached graphic photographs of children with bright red measles rashes covering their bodies and detailed instructions about how to diagnose measles. The attachment said that any patients suspected of having measles should immediately be given a mask and taken with family members to an isolation room.

It said security guards had been posted at doors to look for patients with symptoms of measles and to direct them to put on masks.

Dr. Yoko Furuya, medical director of infection prevention and control at NewYork-Presbyterian, said on Monday that the hospital system had treated 10 measles cases. She said some patients might have been exposed to others for a few minutes.

Myrna Manners, a spokeswoman for NewYork-Presbyterian, said that “to the best of our knowledge, none of the patients who were seen in our emergency room got measles here in our emergency room.” She said that the hospital was reaching out to all 600 people potentially exposed “out of an abundance of caution.”

In early March, Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx hospitalized a 15-month-old child with measles, who had missed being vaccinated because of illness, said Dr. Nathan Litman, its chief of pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Litman said the child, who has recovered, was exposed in Washington Heights.

The first symptom of measles is fever, followed by a cough; runny nose; red, watery eyes; and a rash. People can be contagious before the rash appears, and are advised to stay away from other people for 21 days after being exposed. Measles can lead to ear infection, diarrhea, pneumonia, miscarriage, brain inflammation and even death.

Since the outbreak was detected, nine children and 11 adults have been infected: 16 Manhattan residents, three Bronx residents and one Brooklyn resident.

Dr. Varma said the first two cases were in adults who had traveled outside New York and who did not know each other but were probably infected at the same airport in the United States. He declined to identify the airport. Both had activities that brought them to northern Manhattan and that included health care facilities, he said, declining to provide more details.

Only three of the 11 had records proving they had been vaccinated, though others believed they had been. In rare instances, a vaccinated person can become infected later in life.

Of the nine children, seven were too young to be vaccinated or within the window of 12 to 15 months old when the vaccination is recommended. The other two were from families in which the parents refused to allow the vaccination.

Because of federally financed childhood vaccination programs, measles has been considered effectively eliminated in the United States since 2000. However, there are periodic outbreaks, usually among unvaccinated people who have traveled to foreign countries, where measles is still common. Some parents refuse to have their children vaccinated for religious reasons and others because of a belief that vaccines can cause autism, though no link has ever been proved.

On March 14, the Los Angeles County health department confirmed 10 measles cases in the county, eight of them linked to international travel.

Last year, there were 58 cases among Orthodox Jews in Borough Park and Williamsburg, Brooklyn, beginning with an intentionally unvaccinated 17-year-old who had returned from London.

not really. AFricans have been given our wonderful vaccines, and many African countries
are only living to an average age of 45.

If 100% of us all had 100 vaccines in our lifetime, our lifespan would drop from 80 to 70.
And instead of measles, we'd have all kinds of other immune system problems, cause by getting
100 different vaccines.

the majority of people have such a simple-minded view about things in the world - almost childlike.
they think if only 100% of people would get measles vaccines - there'd be no measles - anywhere on earth. And if 100% of people vaccinated themselves with flu shots- there'd be no flu anymore on earth. And if all seven billion of us got all the vaccines for all the diseases that exist, we'd never get diseases again. And it's that simple-minded mentality the drug companies are counting on - to make $billions.

Let's say all 7 billion of us were somehow gullible enough to get measles vaccines, and then there was still an outbreak of measles. The drug manufactuerers like GSK would claim the measles mutated. And so 7 billion of us all got the new measles vaccine - the mutated one, and there was still another measles outbreak. The drug manufacturers would claim some chickens and geese and pigs, living closely to each other had developed a 'super-measles' and it is spreading around the country, from geese to people. And so we'd get the new H1N1 measles vaccines - all seven billion of us. Still more measles outbreaks. Drug companies would say there was a few bad batches of vaccines, or they'd say this new measles requires a booster shot evry six months. so all seven billion of us are now getting our required booster shot for measles every six months, and we'd start so see an outbreak of a more deadly flu, killing people around the world. Now we're all getting the new flu vaccine - all seven billion of us, but a new flu mutates. So now all seven billion of us are getting this new mutated flu vaccine, along with our twice yearly measles booster shots, and chicken pox returns in a big way. So now all seven billion of us need a new experimental chicken pox vaccine, along with our twice yearly measles booster shots, and a couple of flu vaccines, and some other new disease suddenly appears, like AIDS - and there is no vaccine for it.

7 billion people all getting vaccinated would be a real stupid thing to do.

What's childlike is thinking diseases will be completely eradicated on earth or that measle vaccines prevent the flu. What is proven - vaccines can prevent deadly diseases.
