Sage Advice

Post by Glacier »

What's are the best pieces of advice you've ever been given in life? Secondly, who gave you this advice?

For me, it would be, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." This has saved me from a world of financial ruin on more than one occasion. I don't remember where I first heard this one, but my mom used to always say that there's a sucker born every minute, and that's along the same lines. She used to frequently tell me that I was cruising for a bruising, but I'm not sure if you'd call that advice. I suppose it was advice of sorts.

How about you?

Don't burn the candle at both ends. My dad told me this when I was young.

The only way to find the truth is to search for it. If you got problem you got to help yourself to find a solution.

With the exception of a home or a car on warranty:
If you don't have the cash for it, you don't need it.
If you can't save up for it, you don't deserve it.
