How has China made your life better?
Before China my life was boring and miserable.
But now thanks to China, every day for me is exciting and happy.
I don't need to pay $600 for a Gopro.
Now I can pay $49.95 for a Xiaomi that is almost as good.
I can buy anything I want now that I know there are 1.4 billion Chinese
people willing to work in a toxic chemical environment for $10.00 per day
I can even afford to throw more stuff in the garbage, it's so cheap.
Why worry about repairing anything?
Thanks China, for improving my life.

Why is the focus on the center person in that photo wearing a military type uniform?

how can it not make life better?
More than any country, China has made many people happy because it makes dollar stores possible everywhere giving the poor and less poor places where they can indulge their shopping urges by visiting over and over again to replace throw away cheap stuff with new throw away cheap stuff.
More than country, China has challenged the mind and character of the bored and complacent with its pressed board assemble yourself furniture.
More than any country Chinese products have contributed to thriving recycling plants, garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores .

There you go, keeping the poor employed and Value Village alive. They are doing great things for the entire Western world's economy. Great post, thanks for your insightful input. It's about time someone spoke up for the Chinese contributions to the world wide economy.

Since a majority of goods come from that part of the world makes it difficult. i.e who else makes computers or computer parts.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Try and find a toaster made in Canada or the USA. Good luck.

They'll be making them in United States pretty soon.
They'll be $60 , but they'll be great, terrific.

The last one I bought from Walmart cost $14. It lasted 6 years of everyday use. I replaced it with a new electronic version with digital readout for $14. For $60, I can buy 4 toasters over the next 24 years. I will either be dead or no longer able to eat any more toast. On top of that, I will earn interest on every $ I have in the bank for the next 24 years. The math doesn't make sense.

Tires!! I love Chinese tires, 1/3 the price of the tires being pushed locally and they are just as good. Westlake, Hercules, Road X etc.

They built a pretty cool wall and they didn't try to get Mexico to pay for it.
