Three or Four options:

1) Sit down with the boss and try and have a receivable conversation to resolve the issue
2) If that doesn't work, go higher up on the ladder or human resources and try and accomplish point 1
3) Accept it and hope it will magically sort itself out. (it won't btw)
4) Quit

And pretty much in that order.

I'm done dealing with as hole bosses, if they don't have brain capacity to understand yelling gets nothing done. Why should I waste my time trying to tell them that.

Thats what a lot of construction bosses were like in the 70,s and 80,s... You had to be thick skinned and suck it up and realize that being a newbie or young guy on the job, that is what happens..
But I came from Army Cadets, and a few stints at Vernon Camp in my formative years, so it A ..got me used to it, and B..made me that way..

But today, the world is different.. I would probably try to record the boss....especially if you are ending up at the labor board...then he may just get the reaming he deserves....plus they know what you put up with.
You can always put it on YouTube..show everyone what a great person they are...

The employee will find a better boss/job....I suggested he takes some time off for all the stress this guy caused him.

Ohhh, if he's got sick time, or and can get sick benefits, he can take a recording of a tempertantrum to his Dr and get approved for the time off, then, the boss will likely want to get rid of him and perhaps give him a severance package.

If the boss is really losing control, swearing etc it can fall under bullying/harrassment and a legitimate complaint can be filed. I'd file one with the employer and then start a file with the labour board.

I went thru this type of abuse when I worked for Canfor in northern BC.
Had a supervisor that worked for months to get me fired. Screams and abuse on a daily/weekly basis.
I only hung on because I was only a few years from pension.
He ended up getting fired before I struck back - good thing or that happened or I would be writing this from a federal institution.
Don't let the stupid b d get you down.
Get an independent lawyer if you have to if all else fails.
No one - in any job should have to put up with this BS.

There are WCB and human rights rules to protect workers from school yard bullies that make it to a "management" job.

Make use of them.
It is not easy - but don't let the c s beat you down.
