Wild creatures should remain in the wild , not placed in an enclosure for our amusement.
Only time is if they need help i.e Eagle with broken wing etc... etc
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

It's not for me to decide . It appears they are moving toward getting rid of zoos and circus acts. This is all part of it . Blackfish was a good video about stuff like this
Now they want to take our guns away . That would be just fine. Take em away from the criminals first . Ill gladly give u mine. "Charlie Daniels"

You have got to stand for something . Or you will fall for anything "Aaron Tippin"

Keeping highly intelligent creatures in what is essentially a bathtub sized aquarium is cruel and ridiculous. They were meant to roam hundreds, thousands of miles, not be caged for human "entertainment" to make us feel like we are doing something for the species. There are so many visual entertainment options now where wildlife has been filmed in their natural habitat, sound recordings, could be presented to the public for their edutainment. Doing cute tricks in a swimming pool? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

What should be done with the ones in captivity now?

Some are calling for them to be released.

The other stupid idea. Imagine housing some person their whole life in cage with people peering at it, meals supplied. Absolutely no survival skills or social structure what so ever. Then just turn them loose in the wild and see how that works out.

I'd much rather be entertained by convicted killers, pedo's and those who choose to harm humanity rather than help foster it.
Let's see how high they can jump from the bottom of a pool.
Let's make them dive through burning hoops and reward them with dead, raw fish.

Leave the whales and dolphins alone.
I wanna see Picton, Bundy or Bernardo do some water tricks.

Stupid human tricks.

A few to help save a species? I can sleep with that knowing our species is the cause.
Not for entertainment, not for profit.
Legitimate science.

Still, I can't deny the value of seeing one up close and personal ; to look in their eye and see myself mirrored in a weird way.

It's easy to say "save the whales".
But even easier save to them when I know what it is they need....besides the extinction of the human race.
Would so rather be over educated that a knuckle dragging Neanderthal bereft of critical thought and imagination. Although in the case of Neanderthals, that's quite the insult.

my life's ambition, shot down on a technicality
it was then that I did what jesus did
called myself a carpenter and went fishing

I think it's a very wrong move to ban cetaceans, no matter the reason, from the Vancouver Aquarium.

Claims that's 'this is not a political move' make me laugh.

There are times and incidences when Mother Nature could use a little human support and help.

Animal rights activitists just shut that door in Vancouver.

Save the seals and let the whales etc. die? There hasn't been any captured for 25 years just for the sake of having one.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

Park Board lost, Aquarium won court case.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Sad day for an intelligent species to once again be locked in bathtubs (to them).
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

If you read this article, it states Vancouver Aquarium will longer house cetaceans. Only in emergency cases

My daughter has to opportunity to do the 'sleepover' at the Vancouver Aquarium with her school. I haven't even mentioned it to her because I am feeling a bit 'anti-aquarium' these days.
