There's nothing wrong with a Credit Card, or using it as much as you like... as long as you simply have the money, AND pay it off every month. Sure many people don't do that, I guess their parents never taught them how to use a credit card, or they are too dumb to do the math as they go along wracking up bills. How stupid do you have to be to spend four thousand every month, when you only make three thousand?
Parents, teach your children, before they ever get a credit card, how to manage the money they have, and how to handle debt. You can run a mock credit arrangement with your teen, and see how they handle it, before giving the okay for a credit card. I think it would be best if young people didn't use one at all, until they are paying their own bills and get how that works, but if they must have one, just advise them to pay it off in full every month, and don't spend money they ain't got. Maybe starting with paying off that cell phone they just have to have, every month.
