Old Police Station to become a condo/business complex

Our City Council has sold out Kelowna for business again. Instead of taking the opportunity to use the old police station land to expand the current Kelowna Community Theatre, which is greatly needed, it will become a multi-story condo/business complex. That block is designated cultural yet they will make it business. The current theatre expansion only includes the park beside it which is not enough to make it the event centre we need to have productions like Cats or Mama Mia, etc. Kelowna serves a large area of the province so a high end theatre is emphatically needed. I would hope that the citizens will let the council know their views on this matter. Arlene H

It is probably a signed and sealed deal already the way the Council operates.

I dunno, their plan seems sound. There's a definite need for housing and the proceeds from sale could go to that.
