Never-Mind #MeToo

Post by kgcayenne »

Women are Nasty to Other Women; never mind #metoo
We can discuss and hashtag the snot out of men treating women badly, but until we address the mistreatment women launch at each other, it’s all just lip service. After all, how can these hashtag-instigators demand this level of activism in regard to man to women, when they stay so bloody quiet about women to women. How can we expect better from men than we accept from other women?

Random observations:
Movies: The Devil Wears Prada, Clueless, Mean Girls, Romy & Michelle’s Highschool Reunion, Heathers.

An observation at a mall clothing store has me asking why was it okay for customers to assail sales associates with things like: “…those can’t be real. Who’s your surgeon?” “Aren’t you a little young to be going grey?” If a man engaged in such nasty babble, we’d have him socially drawn and quartered.

What about Rena Virk, did a guy brutalize her? Was it a group of men victimizing and berating her for years? No. Girls. It was the girls that initialized it.

Even in our own community, one 16 yr old girl killed another, they treated each other poorly in the social hierarchy of being small-town teenagers.

Slow down with the hashtags, and instead be good to each other.
"without knowledge, he multiplies mere words."
Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your kids.

I think we could make some progress on this if people dropped their judgments of others.

You're right. This is not a mans issue any more than it is a woman's issue. It's everyone's issue to deal with and it isn't just a weapon used against woman. Society, as a whole, needs to mature.

This is a *human* issue. People need to simply start respecting other people.

Mister Rogers was nice to people. He was respectful.
Be like Mister Rogers.
