MADD

Isnt it about time with all the gender neutrality and feminism that the name of MADD (Mother against drunk drivers) be changed to PADD (Parents against drunk drivers?

Is this important to you personally Gixxer, or are you just making a point?

I'd think you should be contacting them directly if this is really what you want.

I wonder what the originator would feel about it and is it worth the expense amid other money issues they've had.

Not really important to me personally more of an observation. Imagine if there was Fathers against drunk drivers. Feminists heads would be spinning.

So you see people making issues where there aren't really issues and you're....doing the same?

Okay, carry on.

Doubtful if a single father lost their child and started a campaign about it.

What about animals? They're killed by drunk drivers too, and you don't want PETA on your case.

Just call it ADD - against drunk driving - and call it a day.

Should we all not be against impaired driving?

AID <------------ I propose this one.

Against Impaired Driving.

You know, now that we know pot will be legalized and opioid users don't care if they are behind a wheel or not, as long as they get their fix.

Now thats a real issue. Opioid users driving. I once seen a know user nodding out on the side of the road. At least he had some sense left in his head to pull over.

Doubt that will get by the trademark and copyright issue.
More Against Drugged Driving - MADD - still works

We already have "DDD" (Designated Driver Dads) ... it all balances ... we know that all parents take issue

Plus, PADD just wouldn't evoke the same emotion as MADD ...

Whoa... you can't just go suggesting things to include men. No no, that is not allowed in this day and age. Only woman are allowed to feel that titles be changed to be more inclusive. When woman or minorities demand these changes, they are adopted, when men even suggest the imbalance, it is thought of as a waste of time.

I don't actually care about the name MADD. It's been around for as long as I can remember so I wouldn't support a name change just so some men get placated. If it did change, I guess I'd like whatever it changed to too as the organization is good.
