If you want to make arbitrary connections between mass shooters to make generalizations then let’s find some criteria that applies to more of them. Such as being white males.

It's not the taking of the drugs....it's the sudden stopping of the drugs, that causes the harm.

So why do people suddenly stop taking them?

The most common reason I've encountered working with the mentally ill is that once they feel better as a result of taking the medication they don't think they need to take it anymore. The next most common reason is they don't like the side effects (like walking across the bottom of a swimming pool, as one example). Some actually prefer to be in a mania state.

The current protests in Florida appear to be complete astro turfing. Trying to make it look as if people want to be forcefully disarmed .

No people do not want to give up guns .

Support gun rights.

The current protests in Florida are led by students, grieving their classmates who are now dead or seriously injured, and their traumatized family and friends. Most likely you have not had to endure a mass shooting.
Most people are not asking to give up 2nd amendment rights, but to improve background screening to prevent the mentally ill from keeping guns, and restrict automatic assault weapons.
Why should a crazy person, who is not old enough to buy a beer, be permitted to buy TEN weapons, including an assault rifle?
Obviously current regulations and proceedures were not adequate to protect ordinary innocent citizens, children and teachers simply attending school. Why should they be sitting ducks for anyone who wants to mow down a bunch of people?
Most people have no problem with adults going hunting, or even teens hunting under adult supervision.
And parents who can't seem to prevent a mentally disturbed teen from accessing ten guns (including assault weapon) should be charged with manslaughter x17.

The Florida shooter did not have a "sudden urge" to shoot everyone. For months he planned it, talked about it, amassed weapons. The vegas shooter also made very elaborate plans, nothing sudden about it. It is quite rare for a perfectly normal, mentally balanced person to wake up one day and suddenly behave completely out of character and commit some mass murder.
