BC Housing and Mental Health Tenants
Why does BC Housing insist on placing extremely ill Mental Health tenants in close proximity to frail seniors in a retirement building? These tenants have proven over and over again to be unpredictable, irresponsible and certainly not trustworthy. Why are Mental Health tenants given preferential privileges at the expense of seniors? As a senior--I don't want them living anywhere near me as they are too dangerous, disruptive and their behavior too erratic. Senior Retirement Apartments is not the place for Mental Health tenants. What happened to my rights as a senior/tenant? The peaceful and quiet enjoyment in my own home is being violated and my safety jeopardized. Violence and abuse against the elderly must not be tolerated.
