What kind of a corrections system places a man in a minimum security facility.. a man who killed two chiuldren and injured a third person in a fire bombing of a home; then escapes from prison? That is so ridiculous as to be laughable, were in not so insane.

Maybe if he keeps escaping, and getting time tacked on to sentence for doing so, then he can be kept in longer. So it might turn out to be a good thing.

This isn't adding up ? How many prisoners in Canada ever serve the complete sentence they were given ?

This person was sentenced in 2004 to 14 years & he is still serving time ? Didn't he earn any credits for early release during those years ?

That, is a very good point. I for one missed that.

The rule is mandatory release after 2/3 of a sentence. So 9 1/3 year. Now he escaped in 2015, but 9 1/3 years would see him being released in 2014.

Found the following article, much more to this ….. It was a contract firebombing. What is this guy doing in a minimum security facility ?

He got out on day parole in 2013, but breached his conditions, then escaped during an escorted outing.

Canadian justice system is f ed all to hell, a person kills 2 people & gets peanuts in a sentence.... in my personal opinion is BS.
Those kids will never come back from there deaths, why should the as hole who cause it be aloud to be free.
The moment those kids are alive again the prisoner can be set free.
