To tell the truth I thought they shut down a long time ago because they were next to the old future shop and then all of a sudden a baby store. they were still in Kelowna all this time?

They moved to a store on Bernard for a few years.

Point and Shoot cameras, yes. Inter-changeable lens cameras, no.

I had a DSLR camera with 3 lens, several filters, a tripod,a monopod, a large synced flash and numerous other accessories.
Also custom backpack to carry it all.

I got so tired trying to lug all that stuff on vacations that I got rid of most of it and now carry a Canon with a 50X zoom and a Nikon point and shoot.

I can now walk more than a block without stopping for a rest and enjoy my vacations much more with excellent photos to boot.

I still have the backpack if anyone is interested in buying it PM me.

Tempted, but I might have a problem... a bag acquisition problem. Well, which one is it? I have a Flipside 300 and Slingshot 102 in the ‘collection’. Hmmm...

I know where your coming from on carrying a DSLR and several lenses. Looked for a LONG time for a Nikon 28-300 FX lens in the valley and finally found one last week. This is a lens that will be the "travel" lens. Again, with no camera stores around here we do not have the option of their used department and our local Lens and Shutter has had nothing used for many years...…….which was not a good sign.

Always keep a smaller point and shoot handy and right now it is the Canon G7X...……...great for just walking around and in your pocket. Could never understand having video with a DSLR and the weight you need to hold for lengths of time. Video is not important to me but I will tell you my iPhone 7 works great if the need arises.

Maybe Henry's is watching and another B.C. location is in the works.

not sure which model it is but it is similar to the flipiside fastpack. You can twist it around and have quick access to the camera when you need to get a shot.

Guess we all knew that was going to happen at some point.

But for me it sucks - I left a Nikon 80 - 400 f2.8 there on consignment in the late spring.
They sold it to someone near the end of Sept.
Consignment agreement was 6 weeks before payment and they keep 35% of selling price.
A bit steep, but I knew it would be sold at some point to someone that would make use of it.
They sold it for $850 from what one employee told me the first weekend of Oct.
So I am due about $550

I have never received my money -and- no one from the store has contacted me :swear: .
Kelowna phone is disconnected - Van has full mailbox - no answer in Victoria.
The lens and Shutter site has been forwarded to Henry's in TO.
So they sold that portion.

Not a happy camper to say the least. :cuss:

Get the hpone number off the door of the store. You should put in your claim, you never know you mightb get paid out as I believe it would be no differant then if you property was in the display case. I'd give it a try!

Ken7
I have called all the numbers and they are disconnected.
Even tried emailing the firm from the last bankruptcy in 2013.
Can't get thru to anyone.
I am going thru Kelowna later in the week and will look on the door then.
Unless someone else is going by there and can post on here first.

Is there a company that has posted notice of bankruptcy? Google them, hope it helps!

There is no contact information noted on the papered-up storefront, just the signs stating "Closed for Renovations". Maybe the OP ought to phone Henry's. The website redirect plus timing of their Victoria and Vancouver openings is rather interesting. In fact, the Victoria store's address happens to be the L&S storefront on Google Street View.

I have sent an inquiry on Monday night by Henry's website.
No answer though. Guess I will try calling today.

Thanks for checking and posting.

Edit to add.
Just called the Victoria store on the new Henry's number (250-590-3010).
They say the leases came open so they took it over the Van & Victoria locations, but not the L&S name.
Nothing said about Kelowna.

Also said L&S is dissolved and to call the Vancouver number for L&S - 604-428-8100.
Mailbox 1 let me leave a message - but will have to see if anyone calls me back

It's fascinating that they would also take over the web redicrect.

Suggests that they sold it ahead of shutting down and that they knew more that a month ago this was happening.
Underhanded IMO - I would like to know how many others got caught in the same no pay deal as me.
