Blessed.

What does that mean to you?

You have your health, can hold a job, heck, excel in your line of work, have lots of supportive family, the right kind, the ones you want to be around. You have wonderful memories?

Roof over your head? One you earned, or earn by working and paying rent. You have a good landlord.

You can buy food and pay bills. And live. You live in the Okanagan where lots is in fact free. Free. Yes, I see lots of events which are free to attend.

Sometimes you can't afford events but you can get in by volunteering too. Blessed that you are able to volunteer.

Blessed that you have your faculties. That changes don't mean worse, that change is good, really IS good. Gawd knows it isn't always. I hate those pollyannas who think it's always good. Nope. Sorry. Wrong.

Blessed means many different things to different people. Snman, thank you for reminding us!

To all of you who are stressing out right now.

It's perfect.

It's perfect right now. Honest.

Of course. And there is more than one way to mourn too. And over whom. Some of us lost important people to us. Some of us lost furbabies this year. Hugs.

Sounds like had a great Christmas Nick1, we haven't even cooked our turkey yet. Are you sure you shouldn't be in the Merry Christmas threads? [icon_lol2.gif]

Some things at Christmas just should not be.

Like Bpeeps favourite library book, long over due, owing a mere $432.98 in overdue charges.

Anyone else need group therapy or heck, just therapy, after this Christmas season? I'll bet you are not alone in that.

I wonder how many people made it through the season, barely. Remember, every Christmas is different and I began to call it "the spectrum of Christmas Seasons" a long time ago, from disasterous to best. Most years it's "middle." So take heart, it's probably "middle" for you unless you truly did have a disaster.

If Christmas was best for you this year, then :130:

My son worked yesterday and was sent home early because he was sick. He's currently tucked in bed. I'm going to head upstairs and check on him, then start brunch. It has been a relaxed time in our household, and I hope those for whom Christmas is a difficult time have weathered it well.

The whole family got pretty sick shortly before Christmas. The kids (2, almost 4, 10 and 16) are all down with the flu including myself. The only one that has weathered through this storm is mom. How she does s it is beyond me. Christmas prep, shopping and taking care of us all, amazing woman!
So Christmas this year kinda sucked, and yet it was great. We, as a family were all stuck to the couch or bedrooms and hung out together comforting each other. My projects in the garage got shelved and it was truely all about us. I’m one of those guys that can’t sit still and will usually slip away to do “just this one little thing”. Not this time.

So many have it much rougher. Those dealing with a recent loss, finances or families falling apart.
I truely felt blessed this year, coulda done without all the vomit, worries and lack of sleep tho!

You can feel blessed for all of the Christmases that you have enjoyed in the past with good health, and appreciate every one that you have in the future.
There are so many others out there that don't have many left and have suffered many in the past, just to wish that this will be their last one.
