None as queer as folk

Wow on that . You sound like a real control freak. Pretty pretentious for sure. Did you actually get paid to write this self involved piece of dribble. Toast master with looks from around the room You actually make it sound like they are all on your side. So I also have an opinion and am just glad the probability of ever being in the same room with you and your group is well, pretty much zero.

Must be practicing for the Toastmasters Speech next week
What a fool.. clearly not everyone is met warmly when you have Boring pants reporting on behaviour
Counting the times a stranger goes to the washroom?
Cheeseandcrackers
Sounds more like a ROASTmasters meeting
Open house, closed mind

I learned that people watching is an activity that can exist free from judgment
So, you’re saying just thinking it doesn’t mean you’re judgemental - got it.

So , a homeless guy who doesn't look homeless walks into a club ...
He needed a coffee , a donut , a squirt and a place to warm up ...
I thank you for your benevolence ..
Well done .

Part of giving a successful presentation is being able to deal with interruptions and distractions. People coughing, people leaving, people entering, phones going off, microphone failure, PowerPoint screwups....I could go on. You deal with all of it and the show goes on.
She/he should thank that man for providing a “real world” environment for their practice sessions.

Two essential strategies for success.

I think they invited people to attend to see if they are interested in joining.
Of course they likely don't know the rules or procedure.
I did not get the same tone from what he wrote ... that some commenting on here seemed to get.
But hey people on here read into what people wrote and get the wrong meaning......... often...

One gentleman accidentally discovered the open house. He was welcomed in as warmly as all the other guests.

Been to those Toastmaster affairs.
Even brought my own jar of Skippy.
No toast was ever seen.
Ms. Rose has a BEd degree. Maybe an ex-teacher? Need I say more?

Re: None as queer as folk
Bi-sexuality is not sexual orientation.
It is more often than not, sexual deviance.
It is also often, sexual confusion.
One thing it is not, is an orientation of sexuality, any more than gender dysphoria is gender fluid, or representative of a third gender classification.
These are lies that have no place and offer no service to society nor humanity.
That said, I certainly do agree with the statement, "None as queer as folk."
In regards to the column being disgust, I mean discussed:
I've seldom scene, er seen such biased judgement hidden beneath the underlying tones of pretention,, as I read in this column.
Although I can view this from the vantage point expressed by "60", I am among those that see this column as a masked if not camoflaged to appear less judgemental and belittling to the new-comer.
I'm not queer, but I do have an ear for Folk.

First, how do you pick a bi sexual person out of a crowd? Is there a look they emit? An aura? A white light?
Second, a friend of mine once said to me when talking about a person he knew who said he was BS. "You're gay, you're not BS."
True? No clue but makes at least a little sense.
As for heteros being confused? Por Que?
As for people watching? It is a great pass time but if you don't admit that you're being judgmental while you're doing it, you're fibbing.
