Glenrosa vehicles hit again

Postby 3068rocky » May 28th, 2010, 7:07 am

Two of our cars were broken into last night. They took our mail key and our insurance. Left the camera. Can't see anything else gone. :ohmygod:

That sucks! You know it's no better in Peachland. My vehicle was gone through as well!

Not much else for kids to do in westbank, maybe instead of stores they should put up some places for kids to hang out and be safe!

Yes past the tennis courts.
You must have had something good in there.
It cost us 25.00 to replace the mailbox lock with a new one.

Take that to the Parks & Rec Dept, and the Boys and Girls club.

A supervised center with arcade and videogames, pool tables, ping pong tables, (Id only required with small entrance fee - free or cheap games) under 18 only.
Monthly supervised dances with DJs and/or local bands. Cheap tickets in advance - more at the door.

Schools are a good place to hang out and be safe.

Baseball, soccer, tennis, frazbee, playgrounds, lots of church youth programs in Westbank & Kelowna.....

Not much else to do? So the only thing is for them to engage in criminal activity?
HUH?
Ride a bike, play tennis, go to the school and play a game of scrub baseball.
Oh, no. That's no fun.
Let's break into cars.

Oh, well here's a crazy idea. Get a job. Mc Donald's, Wendy's, Burger King, A&W, Tim Horton's, Walmart...shall I go on?

I remember being 20 - I didn't commit robbery and vandalize property. I worked and visited friends - listened to records and watched movies. Played a lot of sports - same as my kids.

When I was 20 I was in my third year of a full time job. I worked 4-Midnight Tuesday to Saturday.
I made a whopping $4/hr. That's how I paid for my room/board as well as how I paid for the gas, insurance and maintenance on my car. Oh, I bought my first car when I was 17. I paid cash for it with my babysitting money.

Same here. I was married, and had full time job for two years.
I sure hope it isn't 20 year olds out doing this.
Surely by the age of 18 when adult law kicks in, kids know better than this.
