Turner Park Ice Rink in Peachland

Post by mxfamily5 »

Just a heads up that the Turner Park Ice Rink should be ready to go in the next few days. It is starting to take shape and is good right know for some light skating by kids. Wouldn't recommend any hockey on it just yet, but should be in full swing in a couple of days as long as mother nature cooperates. It's a little rough right now but every day it's getting better.

This is on Turner Ave in Peachland - up Princeton ave. It is a sports box that gets flooded every year by the fire department - I think. It is not maintained beyond flooding though, so users should respect it so others can use it as well.

The Turner Park Ice Rink is already to go again. The lights are on and the ice is coming along.

Do they have skate rentals there?

No it's just an outdoor rink with lights. A small group of volunteers flood a sports box nightly while mother nature cooperates.

I was wondering about that rink the other day. How is the ice there this year?
