Perhaps Andrew Lalonde?

"The body was discovered near where Andrew Lalonde went missing two months ago."

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=38110

Some sort of closure for someone's family either way, I'm sure.

"The body was discovered near where Andrew Lalonde went missing two months ago."

Speculation, and VERY unfair to the family for that to be printed. Just 2 sentences before that the RCMP can not confirm it to be that of a male or female.

But, yes, I agree, it is closure for SOMEONES family out there.
I swear some people slipped into the gene pool that had no lifEguard.

I so agree RacerChic it is unfair to print that in the media. Speculation as there have been a few people go missing on this side of the lake never found.

The police shouldn't have posted "it was near where Andrew" disappeared - the body was discovered about 1-1/2 miles from his home.

It's the news. He's the only person "recently" missing.

He's not the only one. There is another guy who has been missing for a a week or more - I can't remember his name at the moment. His poster is up in many of the same places as the poster for Andrew.

Saw the poster at the gas station yesterday. Will take another look in the next day or so - I'm heading back that way then.

There are a lot of missing people in BC. Just because this body was found on the Westside doesnt mean they are from that area.

Exactly. And who knows when the body was placed there. That area has lots of people walking their dogs, hiking, or taking a shortcut home.

Believe me, finding a missing person is a lot better than the alternative. And it is cruel to be speculating that this person is so and so, or so and so, many people are hoping their loved one's are found, and at a certain point, it doesn't matter what the circumstances.

I pray that someone's mystery is solved and not a new one opened up.

Yes but until the body has been identified I don't think the media should be speculating. When Denise Horvath hired a diver to look under the bridge back in the 90's there was a body found and everyone thought for sure it was Charles but it was a man who had walked away from the hospital months earlier. Just saying that we don't know for sure that this is Andrew.
