Peachland Gravel Pit
I heard that the pit may be starting up again soon after a recent court challenge, has anybody heard similar rumours?

Re: Peachland Gravel Pit
Don't worry, our ever so smart and industrious city council under the leadership of our pro "nothing progressive" mayor and his loyal oppostion party of " I am here now shut the gates" group of uninformed citicens will come up with some last minute ammendment, fee, law or some other dreamed of scheme to completly pi$$ off any business person who wants to invest in our town. They pander to flying rats (bats) in old money pit buildings, water meters, thermostat regulations, more useless bylaws you could ever enforce. I apollogize to all those business men who put their faith and money in Peachland only to be disrespected by some of our craziest uninformed citicens and a mayor who is anti anything positive.
We need a mayor who is not pro-devlopment, not anti devopment but rather pro Peachland. If these anti anything citicens want a say then put your names on the ballot or put up your own money. I am extremely ashamed of my town right now!

Your damm right I am putting my name on the ballot. I love Peachland and have loved it since I moved here in 1986.I am tired of seeing our town being constantly held to it's knees by people on their little soap box. In another article on this forum it is mentioned that "Peachland is well known in development circles as one of the most challenging in Western Canada"! This is not an exaggeration. Sprinkler bylaws, property covenants, soil removal bylaws and on and on and on. No, we can't allow anyone to just develop at ones will but we also can't allow people to hyjack the development procedure and then constanlty change the rules as we go.

Rotti,
You said it all. I'm a Peachlander too. Tired of the BS in this town. My thoughts are that the current Mayor and Council should resign over the Steve Allison debacle. PM me with your name I'll vote for you.
