Westbank Shoe Store

It will be sad to see one of Westbank's long running businesses close. I read in the paper the other day Westbank Shoes by Tim Horton's will be closing. They've been in that location for 15 years.
Does anyone know if the business may be sold, or is it closing permanently? It would be nice if someone else would take over.
I know of people that would even come up from Summerland and Penticton to shop there.

Talked with her today and she's retiring. She had/has the business on the market with a couple of near deals but they fell through so she's shutting the doors unless someone pops up before she shutters the doors.

There is still a shoe store in town over by the library. Most people go to the bigger malls, but this one tucked is away over there with high quality shoes being sold.

Pfft. It was a very good local store with knowledgeable staff. Ebay and Zappos can't compare.

Im sure zappos or ebay have the exact product cheaper, would have been nice to try them on and get the brand and model number in store and then have them delivered to your door for less! how were they so knowledgeable? they found the size you needed in a box in the back room and said their great quality and look good on you, its a shoe or boot you know your size you like you buy!

Obviously you know nothing about fine footwear. The ladies at the local shop knew a lot about fitting and were especially helpful with people who had foot problems.

I'm thinking that "fall" buys his/her footwear at Walmart.
Some people have a hard time finding a proper fitting shoe. That's where these ladies were helpful, and sold GOOD quality shoes. There IS a reason these shoes cost more.
